Dr Gurgo is someone that I should not be practicing medicine. I felt very uncomfortable with the way that he leered at me and where he was looking when he examined me. His diagnosis was useless, effectively saying nothing of value, but the cost to see him is massive. His staff seemed only concerned about me paying his bill. My advice to other women (and also men) is do not go to Dr Gurgo.

Dr Gurgo operated on my Brain Aneurysm about 4 years ago, after 4 and 1/2 hours into the operation, he had to abandon it, my aneurysm was fixed via stents via groin. The worst thing about the whole experience with him was that when he sewed up my head he made one of my ears stick out and I am now deaf in that ear, I looked like Cyclops in intensive care and he bought his young daughter in when he visited (which was infrequent). All appointments I had with him were lucky to last 4 minutes and he mumbled the whole time.

I saw him 5 years ago as I broke my neck. I had a collar on for 7 weeks. To sum him up I asked him what was I allowed to do with the collar on ‘Do whatever you normally do just with the collar on!’ What! You can’t turn your head without twisting your whole body. When I went back for review I didn’t bother to sit down cause I was never there long enough.

I had to see doctor gurgo as I was on a work cover claim. It lasted about five minutes. At the end I asked what he thought could be the problem and he said “this is a consultation not an examination”. I thought he was very ignorant to be honest. When I got the report he had sent to the insurers he had said I was fine and could return to work straight away!! Even after telling him I was getting an ablation done a couple of weeks after! He must think I like pain! He is basically getting paid to get clients off of work cover. In the end his report was binned. Stay away

This man should never be allowed to examine (if that is what you would even call it) patients again. A 5 minute consultation with no neurological testing is not going to give you a sound opinion. Don not waste your time and money. That goes for insurers requesting his reports too. You will never get a reasonable and accurate report from him.

I was referred to Ross Gurgo and I don't usually comment on review sites BUT if you don't have something good to say well you know how it goes.... but I had to say something about his appalling bedside manner, arrogance and lack of empathy,

He may or may not be a descent surgeon, I will never know. I was told pain is for life and go do physio for a year and lose some weight ...... I drove 4hrs, waited hours to see him, had to get expensive scans done on the day, to be told the pain isn't that bad on paper, NEXT!

Turns out I have a disc bulge in the middle of my neck, moderate degneration and spurs on t8/t9, inflamed Si joints, and the worst being my lower back having worn out the disc altogether. 2 years later I get diagnosed with Ankloysing Spondylitis.

Dr gurgo did no examination on me then made a report with no substantial evidence bar his own opinion stating things that weren't remotely true ... he has ruined my life and Capacity to ever get a job again due to his prejudicial unprofessional behaviour .... I hope you sleep well at night dr gurgo... you earn substanticial amount yet destroy those of use who don't have the life of luxury... you are a disgrace to your profession and should be struck off the registry ... a formal complaint about you to the medical board and commission will be following this ...: to anyone who is referred to this Dr don't go ask for another professional he is a waste of money ... and your lucky if he sees you for anymore than 15 mins.... not long enough to make an accurate diagnosis with no physical examination

Dr Gurgo was supposed rude , lack of knowledge and was clearly in the business for the money , he has no remorse and no sympathy for what people are going through, my appointment was scheduled for an hour but I was in an out of the building in 15 minutes. Don't go to this doctor. I am definitely filing a complaint. My 'examination' consisted of me bending over. I can not believe that someone who deals with people and can see their pain for a living can have so little emoting towards them.

Gurgo is a waste of time and money if you need advice and treatment for an injured back. He was late and rude and offered nothing helpful. His analysis was all of 2 minutes long and failed to pick up on a range of items in the MRIs that are consistent with my symptoms. Three other doctors rejected his opinion effectively saying that it was rubbish. After wasting my time and money with Gurgo I was treated by another doctor who provided a beneficial outcome. My advice: don't bother, go somewhere else!

Found Dr Gurgo to be very unhelpful. He barely looked at me, did a cursory examination (I.e. Asked me to bend forward - that was all). Then he told me all about the causes of my injury, which was pretty much made up as it did not resemble the actual causes. I spent longer waiting for him than he spent examining me. His fees are very expensive which was a complete waste of money. He was arrogant and contradicted himself with the explanation of my condition.
