It was in 1985 that I was a patient of Dr Gyves. I was in extreme pain and bleeding and was out of town when I was told I was pregnant and all was normal. When I got back home Dr Gyves office scheduled my office visit right away and I was told I had an ectopic pregnancy. I was young, scared and terrified when I heard the news. I had surgery the next day-I will never forget that day and the sensitivity Dr Gyves showed me-following surgery he reported that he was able to perfectly repair my fallopian tube. I have since moved to California but will never forget that day or your surgical skills. I was able to conceive without any further problems and have 2 healthy grown children. I wanted to say thank you so much!!!

Outstanding!!! Would ONLY trust Dr Gyves with delivery of my 4 children all high risk pregnancies all deliveries were life threatening yet delivered completely healthy

I can not nor ever will believe any negative comments about Dr Gyves. I was high risk for all four of my pregnancies and delivered all four without incident. He has never been nothing but professional and knowledgeable and extremely educated in his field and that I will forever appreciate and take to my grave We have the utmost respect for this man who took each and every one of his patients cases individually and NEVER was passive about any concerns .

While on the labor and delivery floor on MacDonald 2 and as the birth of my son, my fourth child, drew closer I felt I had to PUSH the NURSE told me NOT to push because she never delivered a baby on her own. YES, this happened in a labor and delivery room on a labor and delivery floor. The whole time I'm trying my best to not push...I had to tell my husband to go by my feet 'just in case' the doc didn't get there in time. Dr. Gyves STROLLS into the room finishing his sandwich and states..."I thought we'd have to do a C section." His nurse or doctor's assistant was HORRIBLE and MEAN. I knew this would be my last delivery and child due to a complicated pregnancy. I was horrified and hurt(emotionally) by this treatment. I typed up a 3 page complaint with names and my experience and sent it in with the survey. I never heard back from anyone. This all happened in 2003 but I only just found this site and thought it would be important to add. Dr. Gyves was NOT my regular OB doctor.

Dr Gyves was the best OB/GYN I could imagine. He was so good, that he made a very scary pregancy doable. I always felt like I was in terrific hands. I am grateful to him forever for helping bring my twins into this world!!
