Thank goodness for this doctor. He took the time to listen to my problems and my concerns even though his office was busy. It is clear he really cares about his patients and that's hard to find these days! He is a life saver, literally. I would definitely recommend him,,

In November 2011 I was unexpectedly diagnosed with a tumor in my spinal cord. I was in excruciating pain and could not even walk or crawl around my house. I did not have health insurance so I did not want to go to the doctor. Eventually my family took me to the emergency room at UF Shands. While being treated in the emergency room an MRI Revealed a tumor in my spinal cord in my L2-L3. After being admitted to the hospital I was treated with pain management drugs and steroids to shrink the swelling of the tumor While waiting to be scheduled for surgery. I Eventually met Dr.Robert Levy Who immediately lifted my spirits and gained my confidence through his knowledge and professionalism. Before my surgery I was informed of the risk associated with spinal cord surgery. Dr Levy treated me as if I had the best healthcare plan available although I had none and he was aware of the fact. I will never be able to say "thank you" enough to Dr Levy for a successful surgery. A Truly great physician!

This man was the most arrogant doctor I have ever seen. Rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. An embarrassment to Shands and as the head of the Neoro division, he will drive you away from anyone related to that department at Shands. I always thought Shands was the best but with him at the helm, Shands will be losing patients quickly. The staff was great.

I had surgery done on February 23,2012. Dr.Levy is extremey intelligent & did a great job on me. I am proud to say he was the Dr who operated on me & if ever I have to go thru another surgery I would definitely choose him. He has a great Staff especially Sandra, they are extremely nice & made me feel very comfortable & show that they care. He did all my follow-up appt's and made sure I was well after my surgery.

Really nice staff. He was late, but that's very understandable in a surgeon, so no problem. Seems very knowledgeable, although not always the nicest and pretty arrogant - but he is a surgeon after all.

Dr. Levy is my neurosurgeon, I have found him to be very nice, understanding, and helpful. He did my gamma knife surgery in August of 2005. He stayed by my side through the whole thing, instead of pawning me off on an intern, even checking up on me himself the next day. He was also very honest with me about what kind of results I could expect. I had problems from the surgery, and since I no longer had any insurance he is willing to keep in contact and consult with me through the mail, trying to help keep my costs down. I have found him to be a great doctor.

Very pompous. Did a procedure incorrectly. Made me switch offices several times for 1 visit while waiting for hours. When I complained about some symptoms, he simply stated they were not an issue
