I found Dr. Traynor to be arrogant and a real jerk, offensive as a doc bc he is so wrapped up in himself instead of the patient.

These negative reviews are extremely petty. As a parent, you owe it to your unborn child to give them the best chance of survival should anything go wrong. The characteristics of Dr. Traynor that people are complaining about are the same ones that will literally save your child's life if you happen to have a complicated pregnancy like i did. I agree, he is confident&stubborn as hell. He is confident in his skills&knows that what he recommends is best for you&your baby. He gets fully invested in your pregnancy& stubbornly wont accept anything but a successful outcome. Isn't that why you go to a high risk doctor? In case something happens, you want someone who is superior in his craft&whose track record warrants a mural of him in the hospital. My story doesn't fit in 1000 words, but I have met so many moms while in the NICU that have similarly scary stories. We are all in agreement that our babies would not be here if it weren't for the care&expertise of Dr. Traynor.

We LOVE Dr. Traynor. We had a very high risk first pregnancy and Dr. Traynor gave us the information we needed to make a variety of very hard decisions. He was not "warm and fuzzy" - he was quite blunt and matter of fact, EXACTLY what we needed in more than one very stressful situation. I met with him and his staff (and the other docs) at least twice a week (plus multiple L&D trips) for 4 months, not counting previous NT scans, etc. Everybody was wonderful. Our initial OB tried to soft pedal the risks and we almost lost our twins as a result - believe me, you want a doctor who is going to say it like it is, not a doc who is going to be kind and fudge it a bit so it doesn't sound that bad. Dr. Traynor is the reason that my children survived. He was not abrupt or rude to us, but even if he had been, I wouldn't have cared. Dr. Traynor is excellent at what he does. At the end of the day what you want is a healthy baby and that is what he provides!

I can't believe the other reviews I am seeing here! I love Dr. Traynor! I switched from a different perinatologist to Dr. traynor because I was having sucha negative experieince. I am thrilled with teh change! Unlike my 1st dr. I have found Dr. Traynor to be fantastic, knowledgable and smart. The staff has been wonderful. I will in the future and already have recommended him to friends. I have not had long wait times or any experieince like that at all! As for Dr. Traynor being rushed - I have found him to be anything but. He has spent all the time needed to answer my nine million questions and while I would say he tells you the truth without suger coating I would never call him rude. I find him warm, funny and always ready with a great story. I have a very high-risk pregnancy and feel confident that I am getting the very best care.

The reception staff keeps you on hold for hours not bothering to check back..I found it quicker to drive to the office while waiting on the phone and make the appointment in person

I'm sorry - I completely disagree w/ the previous poster re: Dr. Traynor. While he may be very knowledgeable in his field, his arrogance and "God complex" is completely unacceptable. Most women that go to him are dealing with high risk pregnancies... He wants to be the boss, and wants you to sit there and agree with everything he says. The saddest part is this: the other two doctors are wonderful, and have a wonderful bedside manner. He's completely ruined this practice, and - as someone else mentioned - it is the only perinatologist office in this general area. I would highly recommend the other two doctors and NOT seeing Dr. Traynor. When you are already dealing w/ a stressful pregnancy, you don't need this type of doctor.

Admittedly this is a specialty office so I had realistic expectations around the wait etc. I agree that on the surface Jeff Traynor comes off very abrupt and arrogant but we love him. He is extremely knowledgable and educated (hence the arrogance maybe) and we got to know him more and love his dry wit/humor. Dr. Collingham in the office is also very intelligent but seems to have the bedside manner down. So if you're looking for a warm, fuzzy kind of doctor, he's it-not Traynor.

The staff and sonographers were awesome. Medical assistants that did my NSTS were nice and went out of there way to make me comfortable. Dr. Jeff Traynor was a rude self absorbed jerk. He treateed me with total disrespect. I felt like I was just another annoyance for him. Dr. Collingham was fantastic very nice, caring man. If you go here ask for Dr. Collingham.

I went to see a specialist at this office. First, they made me fill out a mountain of paperwork even though I'd already filled it out 10 months ago. The girl at the desk refused to even look in my file for it. Then they made me wait 20 minutes (on top of the 20 minutes to fill in paperwork) and I had the FIRST APPOINTMENT of the day! (7:30 AM). My consult went fine, but then I needed to get my blood drawn. I sat in the office for 55 minutes more(got there at 7:20; it was 9:30) and was on my way out when a young girl called me back. Her badge said "receptionist" which I thought was strange for a phlebotomist. She then stuck a needle straight into my arm completely totally missing my bulging vein. Rather than correct her error, she twisted the needle around in my arm trying to get blood out, ignoring my assertion that she was REALLY hurting me. I finally demanded someone else do the draw and a real phlebotomist assisted. Though she made it clear she was annoyed with me, she did her job.

I agree with the previous poster. That Traynor guy is very rude and obnoxious - I will not give him the respect of calling him a doctor. My wife was still sick after having her child, but he told her to go home anyways. We came back to emergency a couple days later and explained to him that she was let go too early. His answer was "Oh Well." Too bad Dr. Won is stuck with such a loser.
