Rude staff! Tried to make this practice a permanent choice but couldn't get past how unhelpful, rude and unpleasant his staff was... Especially the office and front desk staff!

You will wait for a while to see Oscar. Bring a book. When he comes in to see you, he is there to see you. If your visit should take 15 minutes and you need to talk for an hour, he takes an hour with you. He has been my Doctor from the time he opened his office, he delivered both of my children, he is "my Dr" and I would not consider anyone else even thought I live over an hour away now. He listens to you and is as likely to pray as to prescribe. I like that. I have never been to the ER because he has always helped me over the phone or seen me in the office even when he should have been closed. If you want a treat and release physician, he is most likely not the doc for you, if you want someone to listen, treat your medical issues, but also show quinine concern for your life, there is no better. I never complain about the wait. Chronic conditions, he stays up to date and is always looking for ways to help.

Tried this doctor a few years ago when my daughter had a severe ear infection. We waited over 2 hours in the waiting room and then over an hour in the exam room before Lovelace finally came in. All the while my child was crying and screaming about her ear hurting. Having to wait that long was ridiculous. When I complained to the nurse she just said "Well, he likes to take up a lot of time with his patients." I can understand that but does it take 3 hours per patient??? He also tried to act at times more like a psychologist than an M.D. which is not what we were there for. When I would try to change the subject and stick to the medical issues he would interrupt and say "Well, I want to talk about this." He was not really unfriendly but just wanted to discuss things that we were not there for. Just not a good overall experience and we never went back.

He looks very attractive in a leather Uruguayan 'vaquero' hat and seems very devoted to his practice. Very helpful getting suitcases off the luggage belt. Should be a great doctor-

I have never waited anywhere as long as I did here, for far too many years. Several of the office staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Forget any help with your insurance. The doctor is constantly interrupted, "doctors" to his laptop computer instead of you, and misdiagnosed me more than once. I went throught the same thing with my child. We will never go back.

Keeps patients waiting for 3+ hours. Routinely takes personal phone calls in the room DURING a visit in front of the patient. Has VERY LITTLE regard for his staff as people.
