I was very unhappy with the care that I received from Ms. Juarez. I went to see her for a nurse visit for type 1 diabetes- it is very clear that she knows very little about the people who deal with this disease every day. She treated me as though I was a petulant child and kept sighing and being exasperated at my limited blood sugars- I am well aware that I should be wearing my sensor more, and I am well aware that I should be taking better care of myself, and I said as much in our appointment, but she continued to sigh loudly and berate me for not wearing my sensor. I was close to tears several times in the appointment, but she didn't seem to notice or care- she didn't even ask how I was doing at the beginning of the appointment. I will say that it seemed like she was very busy and overworked, so part of my bad experience may have been her poor experiences bleeding over, but still. She was abysmal at building rapport with me, and made me feel embarrassed and frustrated. Please do not go to her unless you have absolutely no other choice. Her medical assistant was very nice to me though and was courteous and kind throughout the appointment.
