Reception staff ok but GP has a very rude manner and doesn't listen. I would not recommend her.

Excellent GP. Always caring, empathic, I never feel rushed or unheard. Outstanding knowledge and qualifications but even better bedside manner.
A lovely human being, so thankful to have her as my GP.

Dr MANISHA ABEYA moved to Hawker Medical Practice from her previous practice in Belconnen about 12 months ago, and I have followed her there with the rest of my family. Even though it is further for us to travel, I wouldn’t dream of seeing anyone else. The vast majority of her patients have also followed her, which is not surprising, given how kind, caring, passionate and knowledgeable she is. Fortunately, she is still accepting new patients so if you are looking for an amazing GP, I recommend her highly . You won’t be disappointed.

As noted Dr Abeya can sometimes run late but her support, knowledge and kindness are outstanding. She is the best GP I have ever had by far.

Dr Manisha Abeya has been a huge support to me during that last 4 years managing a chronic condition and caring for me through various autoimmune conditions. She is sometimes running late but that is only because she is giving you her patient the time and attention she will eventually give you. Arrange to chill, meditate or catch up on emails while you wait!
She has been so caring and knowledgeable and confident - exactly what you need in a GP!!!! If you cant track her down.... she is moving to Hawker Medical Practice, Suites 2 & 3, Birubi Chambers 14, Beetaloo Street, Hawker ACT 2614 Tel 02 6255 2400

I started visiting The North Canberra Family Practice when Dr Jacob Foo moved to the Practice. When Dr Foo was not available I visited Dr Manisha Abeya. I found her very Knowable and helpful and with the retirement of Dr Foo she is now my GP. I have recommended her to many friends as a GP. I am approaching 80, have Diabetes, A Heart condition and High Blood pressure. With her help I have all these under control, to the extent I still work a 50 Hr week.

Dr Manisha Abeya has stuck with me through diagnosis and treatment of a challenging chronic condition. She is impeccably qualified (UK) logical, caring, supportive and so patient. She gives undivided attention and so thorough which means running late every so often. I don’t care it’s wirth the wait. Remember to ask for long appt if you have multiple issues or mental health issues. I trust her implicitly.

saved my life, referred during a depressive episode.
Maybe three years of ups and downs trying to find the right meds, and she has been so patient in helping me through the process.

It can be easy to say any Dr is running late, I myself have been guilty of not booking the appropriate length consultation. Dr Abeya has been able to connect quickly with the health needs of my family. I would highly recommend Dr Abeya to anyone wanted quality advice and care.
