I was a patient of Dr Siy when I was a kid and I now bring my daughter there. I love Dr Siy as she is a no BS kind of Dr. She tells you how it is and I like real people rather than someone who is indifferent and seems unsure. I will voice my concerns and she tells me "Mommy don't worry" and it certainly puts my mind at easy, she'd tell me to worry if I needed to. I don't know what other are saying, she has never lectured me and she has had my daughter since I had her. She came to see my daughter in the hospital after birth and she was great and congratulated us. At the end of every visit my daughter is offered a "lolly" and all I can think of was all those "lollies" I got as a kid from the same doctor 20 years ago. My brother also brings his daughter there since birth as a preemie. He has no complaints either. We get in right away and they are always on time.

Very condescending personality, lectures you on how you should take care of your children, especially new parents. Horrible office staff. Avoid.

Dr. Siy has not been very helpful to me and my husband as new parents. We have seen her for 3 visits for our newborn so far and each time we feel like little kids being scolded by a parent. It is very difficult to have a conversation or get in any questions with her... or at least have a discussion about the questions. She pretty much gives one word answers and shuts down your opinions quickly. We have already made an appointment with a new dr. She is very old school, which may fit some personalities but def. not ours. She has also given us strange advice that dr.'s from children's in boston disputed: told us no green veggies until 1 year, no baby wipes or baby soap for 1 year, not to take our little one out anywhere for 6 months...

Not very happy with this doctor. I thought the office was not very clean. Nothing is worse then a nurse who smokes that is checking your baby. We didn't last long with her. Would not recommend! Plenty of Pedi doctors on the South Shore more advanced, with a clean office!

I chose her at the recommendation of my sister-in-law whi has 4 kids. Dr. Siy is very knowledgeable and has gotten us through a major illness with one child and supported us during our preemies' time in the NICU. Have been with her since 1999 and would not consider changing to another doctor.

Dr. Siy is an old fashioned Doctor with old fashioned methods. She kept changing her mind about what foods I shold feed my newborn when (no meat until 6 months, she said, then at 6 months when I introduced meat she scolded me and said, never meat until 8-10 months!) She made her diagnoses from a very quick exam or even over the phone and I always felt doubtful of her advice and rushed. Her nursing staff are the absolute RUDEST women on the earth and the only nice one is so old she can't remember anything. Stick with the younger, more knowledgeable Doctors!

We were recommended to her by a family friend. Our newborn son had been vomiting constantly after eating. After several visits she insisted that he must have had some sort of acid reflex type issue. We decided to take him to the emergency room and he was diagnosed witha double hernia that required an immediate operation! She never called to see how he was doing or anything like that when he was in the hospital. Needless to say we fired her on the spot and found a pediatrician who knew what he was doing.
