Until a resent move, my late husband and I had been in Dr. maidment's care for 14 years. She has always been prompt and helpful in looking after us, when my late husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer she could not do enough to help and support us. We were very fortunate to have her in our lives.

Impossible to get an appointment. I've called 7 times in the last 4 months and they will not even return my call. Not sure if it's the receptionist or the Doctor. I dropped over one day to make an appointment and their office hours are now 9 - 1, 4 days a week. Even to get meds refilled I had to have the pharmacist call to make contact.

She is a terrible physician. She doesn't care about any of her patients. The only reason she's in the health care business is to make as much money as possible. Her first resort is to give you unnecessary testing and force drugs on you. I answers very few quetions to her at one point and she immediately looked up these 2-3 symptons in her prescription drug book and handed me a prescription and made me leave. She's a drug pusher who doesn't care about anything except her bank account. I was suffereing from social anxiety and of course she forced drugs on me. I was 16 and they had dangerous and unnecarry side-effects. I asked her if there was a drug-free alternative to solving my problems and she demanded that I "needed the medication". I stopped taking the medication at that point at began dieting and excersizing and my symptoms and underlying problems disappeared within a week. She's a hack. Avoid her at all costs.

I am ,as well as my daughter patients of Dr.Maidment and have been for almost 8 years,we were new to the area and it was difficult not only to get a doctor but to have one that you trust. We are very fortunate to have her as our doctor. She is very easy to talk to and a very knowledgeable and professional person and will send her patients for tests and specialists if need be. Angela, her receptionist is a true gem,and will slot you in if she can.No long waits in the waiting room is a bonus as well.

Dr, Maidment is our family doctor and she takes excellent care of us. She is always on time and likes to get right to the point. She is very busy but takes a lot of pride in her work.

She is very arrogant and gets angry if one corrects her. Her diagnosing capability is extremely limited, hence I try to avoid her medical "expertize" as much as I possibly can. In short, if you could go with another family physician I advise you to.

Dr. Maidment is a very caring and compassionate doctor, but is in too much of a hurry to diagnose underlying problems. I've been having problems for over 2 years, and have received no diagnosis. Patients are only allowed to say 2 problems they're having in an appointment. If you have more - make another appointment. By the next time you see her, the last problems are forgotten. Especially if all the problems you are having are connected. There is no way to get a diagnosis. It's also hard to get through to the receptionist. I had to keep leaving messages on the answering machine for over a week to get an appointment.

I am another patient who left the province and thank goodness. This woman is the worst dr. I have ever been to and I am almost sixty. My last annual checkup lasted 12 minutes, she didn't even take my blood pressure, and asked me questions all of which should have been right in front of her in my chart. She never looks directly at you when discussing anything and one gets the feeling that it is one big hurry, so she can bill the next patient and fit in as many as possible in an hour. Really pushes drugs also.
