Staff are incredibly rude and constantly hang up on patients for asking a question, very bad representation of the office. My family does love Dr. Lavanchy, but having to deal with awful staff is disgusting. Grow up or get another job, where you don't have to deal with patients, we deserve better as well as every other patient.

this guy is a total ego maniac with a god complex. doesn't know anything but to get to in and out in 3 minutes with a prescription or pass you off with a referral to someone else

. My husband was diagnosed with a severe disc degeneration in his back and the doctor put him on long term disability and prescribed a number of drugs including opioids. Dr. Lavanchy charged twice the price for documentation for our insurance companies. In fact for the first few months I thought it was hardly worth having the insurance as his fees were so high. Next he would not take my husband off his opioids after my husband expressed his concerns about becoming addicted to them. My husband went off on his own and never told Dr Lavanchy in fear that he would report him to his insurance company. Dr Lavanchy seems very prescription happy. Must be getting perks from the pharmaceutical companies My husband will not go back.

I have since left the Okanagan, and have struggled to find a doctor that meets Dr Lavanchy’s caliber. He was my doctor through my twenties, and was extremely thorough when diagnosing multiple issues. He was also very supportive of many decisions we had to make together, and still supported me when I disagreed with a solution, as he would say after all it is my body. He even has led students often, and that tells me he sought after in university and colleges.

Found out my lung was half collapsed after complaining that my breathing was VERY bad. He told me to take my puffer and keep taking my nasal spray. Hmmm ...

Finding Dr. Lavanchy as a new resident to the OK was easy, and I now know why, there is always open appointments. He is cold, demeaning, and very conservative!!! The quality of staff is lowering with turn over. I wish I could say thanks, but I struggle with having poor experiences with the Dr. It seems he is in it for the money, not the profession, often complaining about how little he is paid, get in and out.......would not recommend, and when I find another GP, I will be discontinuing my relationship with him.

Dr. Lavanchy has been very understanding and helpfull each and every time I have gone in to see him. He has always answered any questions I have. If I have needed a quick appointment time, it
has been provided. His front office staff, on the other hand, need a major tune up in people skills.
