Was asked to see Mrs Casey, as I got into a relationship. My then girlfriend became pregnant. Got married.. After being married found out there was never a pregnancy, if was done out of greed & personal gain a trap pregnancy. As I went to get legal advice we had to go through the process of having to see this lady picked by the legal aid board. As I was told that the pregnancy was a figment of my imagination as a cover up story.

Seen Mrs Casey, she totally went on & above to agree with now wife . In which case I can & have proven too many people after seeing Mrs Casey.
Who ever is looking for a professional opinion to get clarity on any situation.
I’d advise you to pick somebody of their own discretion and not have anyone pick them for you.
In this case/situation there’s something really wrong with this and who knows who. I’m now in a position where I can tell a real version of events. If this professor had of looked at the real facts of this case I wouldn’t have to be writing this piece. I feel that it’s important to have a voice. This is my personal experience & now can say that she got this case wrong ready for the courts.

I understand the frustration of the people who wrote these comments, as a bad experience for I myself was in fact on a very similar level of disappointment it’s been a very difficult time indeed. In leaving aside negativity and frustration. I do wish anyone well in life. The golden circle I call these it’s not about how she can help . The last comment is true but “Socrates said, I know an unexamined life is not worth living, trust in yourself & never except anything in the life, if it’s not the truth.
Let’s face facts working in legal aid for years and gave up because of money issues ,
There’s a lot of people who don’t have a voice in many walks of life. This lady is a real letdown for her poor judgment & as a woman to woman I’ll always remember her views on her rte show the late late show in 1992 ………….

Hi i was with Patricia Casey for 15 years and i felt so good after every session,,,Dr Casey was so good,,that the medication she prescribed for me was spot on,,and i thank her for her great advice.

Who gave this lady her position in a private sector role after been in public sector for so long. Her title professor, seemingly gives her the right to be rude, obnoxious, misunderstanding biased .Her body language is very poor, also I’d recommend that she be revalued in her field of expertise.
Real reason I thought entered this field was to help people not make their experiences worse, as you can tell - She should be much more professional in her approach to seeing people who are willing to pay . “Advice keep your money”!. Has to be the worst case misinformation I ever heard from a person not as a professional but in the reality of life.Just in the wrong job should’ve became a nun , in the wrong field - Using words from a txt book-you hear the words of other educated professionals in her grammar. Has no originality in this field - In person she can be very blunt totally honest I feel that these titles that are given to individuals . Professor should be kept under review after my personal experience changed after meeting her. Also would give this field of expertise a bad reputation. Letting ordinary citizens go to being exposed to her barbaric nonsense is only a letdown for the good experienced educated people in this field. I’ve seen another person since & this is why I write this review. As I am now able to give a helpful honest overview of my times spent with Patrica Casey.

Professor Casey came across as very professional. My psychiatric problems arose from severe abuse at the hands of the The Irish Christian Brothers. Psychological, sexual and physical severe abuse over several years as a child in their care.
Initially she came across as sympathetic and understanding. BUT when it came to her report it emerged that she was reluctant to record the severity of the abuse. I eventually some years later realised this reluctance arose from Professor Casey's extreme pro Roman Catholic Church views. It only occurred to me when I subsequently read her newspaper articles, she should have recused herself from any dealings with someone suffering from abuse by a prominent organisation of her conferes. She is an unapologetic Roman Catholic supporter as is her right. She is incapable of assisting a patient like me who suffered from their appalling crimes. In fact she should be disbarred by the Medical Council for this behaviour.
There is nothing subjective about this conclusion: a psychiatric professional should not involve themselves in the assessment of damages incurred by an organisation to which she is in complete sympathy. Her aim is to protect the Roman Catholic Church and its criminal organisations. She is incapable of reporting objectively on these organisations. This conclusion is based entirely on her stated public views.

This person is not fit to be a psychiatrist. Archaic view on mental health. Extremely rude and condescending of the issues I was dealing with and was put on the lowest dose of medicine, with no corresponding therapy which I requested multiple times. She then demonstrated complete patient conflict of interest in favour of the other patient. Don’t waste your time or energy trying to get an appointment with this woman, you will be much worse off for it. Finally found amazing consultants and therapists in St. Patrick’s Hospital who actually listened to me, didn’t belittle me, and who were frankly astonished and disgusted with how I had been previously treated. She will never know or empathise with the pain, distress and turmoil she has caused me and my family, but if one person can see this review and think twice about going to see this doctor, I can feel a little more relieved.

Rude, condescending and racist. I don’t like how she spoke to me with such aggression for no reason other than me being quiet and not making eye contact. Waste of time and money.
