Dr. Mazaheri is a phenomenal doctor; she is extraordinarily compassionate and knowledgeable, and a fantastic advocate when it comes to trans healthcare.

Speaking to her, it feels like she remembers who I am as a whole person. I have never felt rushed, patronized, or disbelieved; she's made important referrals for issues I'd assumed I'd never get care for (both related and unrelated to transition), and advocated to other doctors I had existing referrals for.

Their office has good practices about body measurements during check-ups, by default asking if you'd like to know your height or weight rather than just telling you. This isn't a sensitive issue for me, but I was pleasantly surprised. She's flexible about out-of-town patients; I've had in-person, video, and phone appointments smoothly.

She follows up proactively in a way I have never experienced with other doctors. My gratitude is truly beyond words.

Dr. S. Mazaheri is a very caring professional that recognized the symptoms of my cancer.

I connected with her through Babylon app, since I needed advice on discontinuing my citalopram after 4 years. I am a doctor of pharmacy student, so I know quite a bit about tapering off medications, but nonetheless, I decided to consult with a doctor. I was on 20 mg daily, and her advice was to decrease it to 15 mg for THREE MONTHS and then reconnect with her to see how I am feeling after THREE MONTHS. If going by her 5 mg dropping regimen, it would have taken me ONE YEAR to come off this medication. This is just insane. You do not need to be a doctor or a pharmacist to know that. Current guidelines suggest a tapering off schedule of 2-4 weeks. I was very disappointed by her lack of knowledge. With tapering off, we are trying to gradually decrease the dose and see how the body reacts to that decrease. If we stay on a new dose for another 3 months, well your body is just gonna get adapted to that dose. That is just bad bad advice.

Dr Mazaheri is the VERY BEST family Dr i have had since residing in CV for the past 14 yrs. Although tremendously under time pressure, she never passes this to me as a patient. So bright, alert, intelligent, focused and interested in her chosen field, considerate, kind and listens to me as the patient respecting i know what i am managing. A very strong, hugely experienced professional in her field and remains stimulated / interested in working with me toward achieving the very best quality of life in my disease management long term. An undeniable strong advocate in respecting the needs and human rights of a patient with difficult challenges ahead .
