Dr. Rana and her staff always make me feel known and important. They always answer my questions either immediately or, if they need to verify something they do so in a very efficient and timely manner. I strongly recommend Dr. Amira Rana and her staff.

I suppose cover has caused some issues with care. Dr Rana was my oncologist for almost 6 years. During this time I had very little input form her. The oncologist who took over when she was on maternity leave was amazing and so much input. Wished I could have changed to that oncologist. Dr Rana released me in 2021. I ran into a problem in 2022 with white blood cell count She refused to see me. That broke my heart and I am still in limbo. Hence my low rating.

amira did not feel the need to reduce the chemo therapy meds to 70% as quoted by my usual oncologist farrah kassam; i was worried about more nausea. amira felt that because i did well over the last two weeks, it would be okay to proceed with the 80% of meds. like on oct. 29/21. She asked if I am able to bathe, which I thought was strange, and to cook for myself.

Compassionate, but at same time gets right to the point and pulls no punches. I was diagnosed as palliative (terminal) with Stage 4 Advanced N.S.C.L.C. four years ago. I have been under her care from the beginning, and still doing rather well...all things considered!

Extremely helpful, very understanding and caring Doctor. My husband is under her care and she has taken excellent care of him. We are very lucky to have a Doctor of her calibre in Newmarket.

Gives a diagnosis without knowing all the facts and before further testing is done. Tells patient (who is already in a vulnerable state) that the cancer in question is very very bad. Stage 4 and asks if patient would like to know their life expectancy!!! Horrible experience. Pushes chemotherapy. Seek other medical advice in my oppinion.

Terrible bedside manner. Basically tells you your dead. Extremely negative and gives the gravest outcomes.
