I haven't been a patient of Dr Maingot-Douketis for years but she was absolutely terrible. She never believed a word I said, was dismissive every time I went in with any issue, she misdiagnosed my endometriosis for 7 years (said the crippling monthly pain I had was because I needed to drink more water!), and when I asked for a mandatory referral letter to go to a fertility clinic she said I wouldn't be able to handle having a baby unless my mother lived very close to me. What!? I still feel scarred by my experience with her, and I'm so happy I left and moved on to a normal, non-gaslighting doctor.

Had a visit with her a couple years ago when I was a young adult. She was rude and judgemental, making rude comments which made me feel uncomfortable. She questioned my choices based on my age. I understand that you have your own personal views but please do not push it on your patients.

Dr. Maria Maingot-Douketis is one of the best doctors I have ever met! Very professional with a wonderful bedside manner, and her diagnosis is has always been correct in my case. A health issue I had practically all my life was diagnosed by her correctly and with a requisition for in-depth tests she sent me to a specialist. Under their joint treatment I am now on meds but free of it and it’s with my utmost thanks to Dr Douketis that I write this review! I’m ever grateful to her.

The best doctor I ever had, very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Very sad I have to leave her as we moved to Burlington which is one hour and half drive to see her.

I was very impressed with Dr. Douketis. She stayed late on Dec 31, 2018 - beyond the regular closing time for the year - as I "begged" by phone to be seen regarding a scary episode (bleeding eye). She was very thorough and reassuring. Also, the timing of the healing process is working out as she predicted. Finally, she even made time to discuss and write up a prescription for another non-urgent issue. Much appreciated!

The best family physician I have ever seen. Patient, thorough, friendly, and amazingly knowledgeable. Never rushes you even though there’s a lineup for miles to see her. Diagnosis is spot on. Easily one of the best family doctors around.

I can't recommend Dr. Douketis enough. She is pleasant, thorough, caring and practical. Her office runs very efficiently- although busy, you can feel the 'calm' there.
