I saw Potter (who I won’t honour with the title of doctor) in 1993 . On the basis of a 10 minute interview, he wrote a hearsay report of approximately 5 lines stating that I was homicidal, suicidal and delusional. He backed that report up three years later having never seen me again, with the opinion that I suffered from Munchhausen‘s by Proxy. On the strength of his report I lost custody of my two tiny daughters. I’m wondering now whether anyone else has received this diagnosis from this unspeakably foul man? If so, please leave your story and work out a way for us to contact each other as I think that this bears further discussion. And a question for you, foul Potter, honestly, how do you live with yourself?

I was diagnosed by this man for a workplace injury. He then assessed me for my WPI in December, he took around 2 months to provide the report. In that report, he says that I have been this way mentally since being inappropriately touched as child, which is absolutely false, he's saying I've been a class 4 on the psychiatric impairment scale practically my whole life, yet I have always been employed in high pace high stress environments and was very competent in my roles, usually being able to train myself, I raised a child on my own who is now looking to attend uni to become a scientist, I have been a very positive, happy and caring person my whole life and this person has just knocked the life and hope right out of me, to be allowed to just blatantly lie about me leaving me for another battle after everything I've already been through is just disgraceful. I absolutely enjoyed my video meetings with him, I found him kind, compassionate and charming but boy wasn't I fooled.

Dr Porte was the court appointed psych to prepare a report Even-though in his report he recommended the children remain in my care, it was an unnerving experience and I found him to be a particularly cold unpersonable man.

I wish I could rate Dr Potter. He is a retired insurance doctor. My experience with him is that he compromises his work for money. I had a 50min zoom consultation with him. The things he wrote in his report about me, I’ve never heard in my life. Clearly he had no moral compass. He’s paid Paid to give negative assertions , and that he does..please dint see this man if you want treatment. In my experience, he gets paid to give negative opinions, overriding treatment.

Many years ago I attended this doctor when I was traumatised following a botched operation performed by a dishonest celebrity doctor who was subsequently struck off. During the course of my treatment with this psychiatrist my son was hit by a car and developed a life threatening illness which adversely impacted both of our lives. I found this doctor's attitude cavalier and unprofessional and it became very clear to me the weekly fee was his priority. He was of no help to us whatsoever and, in fact, from my perspective it was merely a great inconvenience to attend.

I am pleased there are others who have been dissatisfied with this professional's attitude. I am also astonished that he is still practicing as I thought he was old all of those years ago.

Dr Potter was court appointed to interview and write a report for my family. A custody battle. Dr Potter's views and OPINIONS were skewed and his report and recommendations were essentially disregarded. His report was written in a way that clearly favored the unfit parent. He looked and sounded very silly as he wrote his report without taking into account all the evidence that was presented. His report was also submitted late. Highly unprofessional. The child's private psychologist was more in tune with the family dynamics and so this psychologist's clinical notes, reports and opinions were relied on by the judge. Be very weary of this 'doctor'!

I had terrible experience with this doctor with long term therapy. His style is re-traumatising if you have trauma history. Highly questionable ethics keeping patients coming back without helping. No working knowledge of psychiatric drugs or diagnoses. Does not have the experience or flexibility needed to deal with complex trauma. Unable or unwilling to help in crises. Should only be consulted for minor complaints.
