We wanted an all natural non-medicated birthing experience for our first child. After we switched into Tamar's care we not only had the positive support we needed, but someone who was experienced in safely birthing like Mother Nature intended us to do. Whenever you have a question, no matter how small or silly, she is always happy to answer. You never feel like you're rushed to do everything in a 7 minute window or limited to one item per visit. Tamar is very attentive to your family's needs before, during, and after your birth. She provides a very high quality of care with sound medical judgement if/when you need it!

Tamar was amazing! We had such a wonderful relaxed experience with her. She made my husband and I feel very relaxed and comfortable during the birth of our son. She was a very calming presence and I loved my whole birth experience. She was very supportive to me and my husband through the whole process and was happy to let/help him catch the our son when he was born. She is very gifted and I think totally meant to be a midwife. She's great at her job and just a lovely person as well.

If you'd like your birth to be on your terms, I recommend working with a midwife, and I highly recommend Tamar Quist. We wanted to know as much as possible about childbirth so we could make decisions in advance, and Tamar was happy to oblige. She readily agreed to some things we asked for such as delayed clamping, and she made us confident that our birth would be exactly as we wanted. We felt guilty for calling Tamar for the main event at 3AM but she didn't seem to mind being woken up and amusingly was impeccably dressed in spite of the fact that it was 3AM, and she was about to deliver a baby. Our birth plan was followed down to the most minute detail, and we are now the proud parents of a baby boy. Tamar returned later that day, and also the next morning. We felt extremely well taken care of and think it almost a shame that six weeks will soon pass and Tamar will move on to other clients. If you have the opportunity to work with Tamar, we are sure you'll be as pleased as we are.
