Dr Jacob Fairhall provided me with the best possible medical care. He is an excellent neurosurgeon and a very caring and compassionate doctor.
Prior to undergoing surgery, I had a 2 year history of debilitating back pain and had undergone multiple back procedures that unfortunately were unsuccessful.
Following spinal surgery with Dr Fairhall, I experienced immediate relief and count my blessings that I am now pain free!

He is an excellent doctor and surgeon. He is extremely knowledgeable and a very caring doctor with an excellent bedside manner. He followed me up each year post surgery. He treated me to remove a benign brain tumour and 7 years post op I have had no regrow this or complications. I thoroughly recommend him.

Worst surgeon I've ever had. When Dr Fairhall says he is "not as aggressive as some neurosurgeons", what he means is he is not as thorough!!! Don't put your life or the lives of your loved ones in his hands. If you wind up with Dr Fairhall in the public hospital system - demand another neurosurgeon.

Dr Fairhall operated on me for my back and then 2 years later operated on my daughter to resolve her Chiari. He is an excellent surgeon but more importantly a caring and compassionate doctor with an excellent manner. He takes the time to talk through options and expectations. He explains things clearly and is incredibly reassuring which is especially important with this kind of surgery. I could not recommend him highly enough - he gave my daughter her quality of life back and for that I will be forever grateful.

If you are considering Dr Fairhall for a procedure you need done, make sure you ask him: “do you perform this procedure more often than any other surgeon in NSW?” If he says ‘no’ then ask to be referred to the surgeon who does perform your procedure the most!

Amazing neurosurgeon with an excellent beside manner. Very compassionate and understanding. I had urgent surgery for a large brain tumour, and luckily have been left with minimal issues due to Dr Fairhall’s skill. I was amazed at how little hair had to removed and tiny scar I’ve been left with - although that’s the last of your worries with a brain tumour; it has helped me move on with my life by not being physically reminded of it every time I look in the mirror. I did have some poor experiences with Dr Fairhall’s staff at times (very rude, constant cancelling of appointments etc) but that has since improved in my more recent follow ups .
