I'm a 51 year old female who went to Dr. Ganesan for extreme fatigue, edema, headaches, and pea sized lumps that I'd discovered on various parts of my body. These symptoms had persisted for one month. When I describes the fatigue, she said that it was typical of my age! She ran blood work (full CBC). When I returned for a follow-up with no improvement of my symptoms, she said I had the blood work of a 20 year old. That's wonderful, but did not explain my symptoms. I asked if she ran a CPR or ESR to test for inflammatory disease - rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. She said no, I'd have to see a rheumatologist for that. Did she test for lyme disease? She said no, those tests are inconclusive and there's no treatment anyway (seriously?). She said she was only looking for something serious, like cancer, then asked if I was depressed and that perhaps these symptoms were related to stress. I was quite frustrated at this point and asked her if she really believed depression would explain the edema that prevented me from wearing my rings and that caused the swelling and pressure in my legs and feet. Reluctantly, she agreed to give me a referral to a rheumatologist. The doctor she referred me to may be a good doctor, but unfortunately, I don't trust her opinion and will seek someone else for help.
On a positive note, since Dr. Ganesan was so incompetent, I went to a Right Time clinic for a Lyme test. The doctor there prescribed antibiotics to start while I waited the results. Within four days, my headaches have subsided and my edema is almost completely gone. I feel remarkably better and I lost at least five pounds that I had gained from the edema.
I highly recommend you find another doctor rather than wasting your time with Dr. Ganesan.

Dr Ganesan promptly authorized a refill of a medication previously prescribed by her practice colleague in his absence. Hats off to her for quickly acting on my behalf.

Dr. Ganesan is an arrogant doctor who does not listen to her patient. I met with her to get a second opinion, and as soon as she entered the room, she spent all of her time trying to convince me of why I did not need a second opinion and why I was "hypervigilant" about my care. Most of the time, she typed into a computer, never asked me my medical history and dismissed my concerns as "typical for my race." (I am African American). I finally had to ask her to be quiet to actually state why I was there. I come from a family with heart disease, diabetes and had lumps in my thyroid. She told me all this was typical for a black person.
