I have had two surgeries at the Landings. Implants 13 years ago, and explant and a lift recently. As a patient of theirs I was always treated extremely well. Nurses are very friendly and caring. I was always able to call my nurse when I had a question post op. I am very happy with my results and I highly recommend Dr Bendor-Samuel !
This place is busy for good reason, please be kind and remember that!

I chose Dr Bendor-Samuel to perform my surgery in November as he came highly recommended. Following breast cancer surgery (lumpectomy) and treatment a number of years ago, I had become quite "lopsided". Dr Bendor-Samuel recommended fat grafting to the cancer treated side, to fill in the divot, and a reduction and lift on the other side. I just had my 3mos follow up with Dr Bendor-Samuel and I'm very pleased with the results. The fat grafting worked very well for me (not uncommon to need it more than once) I had no loss of sensation in my nipple and I'm now even (as before my cancer surgery) and can fit properly into a bra again. It feels amazing. I highly recommend Dr Bendor-Samuel and his team and my only regret is not doing this sooner.

From consult, through surgery and follow ups Dr. Bendor-Samuel answered all of my questions and put me at ease. He is a perfectionist all the way and I now have a perfect pair of C cups after a lifetime ( too many decades) of oversized breasts. The care from the day of surgery forward was first class . The nurse was available to address any concerns through email or phone and I had a direct number to contact him if needed. I chose this clinic over waiting 3 years in the public system and it was well worth the money spent! A bonus is that he has a delightful personality as well. Breast reduction is a life changing surgery so don't wait any longer if you are sitting on the fence!

I had a breast reduction/lift in May of 2023 and I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Bendor-Samuel and The Landings Surgical Centre. The consultation was pleasant and very informative. All of my questions were answered and concerns put at ease. On surgery day, I received one on one attention from the nurses, anesthesiologist and the surgeon. They took extra precautions during surgery such as compression socks and intermittent compression devices on my calves to keep the blood circulating and prevent blood clots. After surgery, I was the only patient in the recovery room and I had my own dedicated nurse monitoring my post-op recovery. There were no post-op issues and the pain was easily managed by extra strength Tylenol. The follow up appointments went seamlessly and I am extremely happy with my results. Dr. Bendor-Samuel was right when he said the only thing I would regret was not doing it sooner. The clinic is spotless and the service is excellent. If it is in your budget to go private for surgery, I highly recommend The Landings and Dr. Bendor-Samuel. It was worth every cent and it has changed my life.

I had surgery on October 24th. Although I was confident with my choice, my experience and results with Dr Bendor-Samual were above my expectations.

Dr. Bendor,-Samuel and the staff at landings surgical centre in Halifax were amazing. I am beyond happy and pleased with the outcome of my breast reduction surgery. Dr. Bendor-Samuel made me feel at ease during the consultation and surgery prep. He is a very talented surgeon and I was comfortable from day one. The treatment I received preop, surgery, day, and postop was exceptional. The staff was always more than helpful with any of my questions or concerns. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bendor-Samuel and the staff at the Landings surgical center.

I had gyno surgery a few years ago by Dr. Richard Bendor-Samuel. During the consultation he seemed eager to help, he suggested it would be best to do glandular tissue removal as well as Lipo for best results. I was apprehensive to do both, as the cost was pretty significant. But I understood what he was saying, and ultimately he’s the surgeon and would know best.

I decided to have both done. The morning of the surgery I showed up, staff was great and was very helpful. Dr. Bendor-Samuel showed up, seemed to be in a rush to get started and did a quick job with a marker layout on my chest. I was already nervous, and honestly the quick marker job without much as far as checking for symmetry made me more nervous.

I woke up from surgery, again staff was great. Recovery was great, he’s clearly a skilled surgeon and anytime I called with questions the staff was friendly and helpful. BUT, I do still have grape sized glandular tissue left on one side and a fair sized lump on the other. Both noticeably unsymmetrical to the eye. Also, there are fat pockets on the sides of my pecs near the armpits that were just left there. Which wasn’t noticeable before surgery. With the follow up appointment, he didn’t seem eager to help and it was obvious hints I’d be paying the cost of a surgery again.

I fully appreciate how difficult of a surgery it is, and again I do think he’s a very skilled surgeon. But I’m not sure how experienced he is with gyno surgery at this point. But I feel like he should make right with his clients if they aren’t satisfied with the outcome, especially given the costs of the surgery.

The surgery clinic is well put together, staff is great and again a great surgeon but I’d suggest reaching out further to a different clinic as I don’t believe the artist eye is here (maybe gyno surgery specifically) but more importantly the willingness to make the outcome happy for both patient and Surgeon is a deal breaker in my eyes.

Dr Bendor-Samuel and his team were beyond amazing. From my consultation, to my surgery date and into my recovery, they were all very professional and very caring. I felt like I was the only patient they were focusing on. I was thrilled with my procedure and would definitely return for anything I wanted/needed done in the future.
