I went in with a respiratory infection (which he confirmed) and asked a question about why I get so sick every time I get sick and why I have gotten so many upper respiratory or bronchial infections. His advice was to "go to the gym" and he asked if I'd ever tried taking vitamins (I do every day). For context, I am not over weight and I am fairly active as part of my job, so the only advice being "go to the gym and take a daily vitamin" to a very real concern about having had bronchitis 3 times in the past 2 years and having a cough for 9 months straight after a simple cold felt very dismissive.

This motherphucker thinks he's God. I waited for 1.5 hours & was never seen. No one told me this would be the wait time for this inconsiderate phucker. I kept telling them the extended wait time was creating an emergency at my house, my dog injured himself & had a seizure as a result of the extended time alone. I called the office expecting at the very least an apology and what I got from the receptionist/flunky is: QUOTE: He likes to make his patients wait 1.5 hours or more it's how he likes it *giggle* makes him feel important. Really??? Really? Inconsiderate phucker is a hack, Clearly, and If that is how he boosts his ego he's overcompensating for being a hack & lousy doctor & for having all the dismal reviews he has everywhere I have left a review thus far adding to the dismal reviews. This office and it's staff and it's hack doctor is a very obscene joke. I wonder how many people he has committed malpractice on... you should be ashamed of yourself for having your staff member admit on a recorded telephone call that you like to make your patients wait 1.5 hours or more because it makes you feel important and inflates your ego, you self righteous, arrogant, callous, piece of dung. It is a sorry state of affairs when a so-called physician is more concerned with inflating his ego, according to statements made by his so-called staff, than he is with actual patient care. I hold these people responsible for what happened to my dog. I was clear when I made the appointment and when I got there I had about an hour tops to spare and was told, Oh, no worries. They were all inconsiderate, unprofessional, unfeeling, callous, rude, and arrogant.

I'm reading the other review here and I cannot believe we are talking about the same person. For me, I never had to wait an extensive time, I was never ignored. The staff was kind and helpful. Yes, just as with other doctors, you are not getting much time with him. he appear knowledgeable and take action quick, non of this wait and see attitude I've seen with others.

An hour wait in the waiting room, another 20-30 minute wait in the examination room, then about eight minutes with Dr. Kurtz, who looks at the screen of his computer most of that time, offering brief responses over his shoulder. I could have had two heads and he wouldn't have noticed. Staff is young, untrained, unhelpful. Seems like the place is spinning out of control.

Dr. Kurtz is a nice guy and a thoughtful professional but he is always always late. If you are coming to see him allow at 90 extra minutes to the appointment. The staff is completely indifferent to the patient's inconvenience, they really could not care less. For that matter, I don't think the doctor cares either.

My husband, son and I have been going to Dr. Alan Kurtz for several years now and have always had litle issues with the office staff. Never with the Doctor. We complained to Dr. Kurtz about his office staff's behavior and he said he would discuss it with them, but it does not appear that they have made any changes. They have overbilled us, charged our credit card, not returned our calls, kept us on hold for 20 minutes to make an appointment, made us wait in the waiting room for an hour, etc. However, my husband's visit last week was the "straw that broke the camel's back". He was suppose to have a fasting blood test, but Dr. Kurtz was not even there and no one othered to notify him. Tanya, the receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful. I would give the details but I'm limited to 1000 characters. He left asking Tanya to have Dr. Kurtz call him, but he never did.

"Dr." Kurtz is incredibly inconsiderate and rude. Not only is the wait time over an hour but once you get in the actual room, you wait for another 45 minutes until someone acknowledges you. I had to ask a nurse 3 times when I would be seen because I had to go to work and had planned to be finished 2 hours before I even saw Kurtz. I was going to pick up my prescription medication until I was told that it had wasn't authorized (no reason given). This was not an insurance problem. I was due back for a checkup in a year to continue getting my pills and he decided not to authorize my prescription without so much as a phone call from his office. This was incredibly unprofessional and caused me a great deal of inconvenience because I need to have my medication and a real doctor doesn't decide to cancel on his patients for no reason. This is a serious problem when missing a day of your medication affects your health. Overall- rude, inconsiderate, and hostile towards patients.
