Since getting Dr De Jong as my Dr she has absolutely changed my life. After being brushed off by previous Drs for many years she was able to get to the bottom of things and ordered the appropriate treatments.

I feel very lucky to have her for my Doctor and know family and friends that feel the same way.

Thanks for all you do Dr De Jong! Harvey is so lucky to have you!!

Nasty and hateful. Hardly ever in her office, throws you under the bus, miserable receptionist, not interested in why someone quite young could be extremely ill, with out of range bloodwork, dangerously high lab reports. Hates it when a patient needs to see her, and she’s not in, and goes down the hall to see another doctor. That’s absolutely forbidden. She should go back to where she came from. Gives no reason for vitals outside normal limits. Some of us in Harvey are fed up with her, and very disappointed with her wretched personality and unprofessionalism. Its time for her and that receptionist to go!

Not a trauma informed doctor.
She's reasonably competent and better than nothing, which is important here in NB where she is now. If you are a deferential and acquiescent patient, I expect a different experience. However, a patient who is educated and expects to have a collaborative approach, to have an active contribution to decision making, should expect push back. As other commenters have noted, she reacts poorly to being questioned, bristles at being challenged. She actively resists self reported concerns that are not text book. As for listening skills, she will sit quietly and make eye contact while a patient speaks, I do not believe however, that she actively intakes that information. She will take a history of trauma, making empathetic noises while listening, Good first step. Then during exam will clinically observe every symptom of a panic attack, continue and complete the exam, and end up inaccurately interpreting those observations as simple hypertension.
I found her very resistant to giving full test results. Getting copies of lab work proved impossible, and I ended up going to the regional health records office to obtain copies, which was quite a feat during the worst of the pandemic.
She will absolutely throw her staff under the bus for any mismanagement and refuse to take accountability as a leader.
But, she is punctual.

We have come to know this excellent family doctor who listens to our family’s wants and needs when it comes to our healthcare. We feel extremely blessed to have her expertise and professionalism in our small rural town. She is a great listener and makes a strong effort to help you feel safe and comforted no matter what health or mental health issue you are facing. Our family highly recommends her as a family doctor who goes that extra mile.

Diagnosis by internet, opinionated beyond her expertise if I could find another doctor I would be gone in a minute. New receptionist is very nice. Tracey can be curt but I get along with her.

Dr Dejong doesn’t have a lot of compassion at times . She’s hit or miss . Tracy is rude not a people person , wrong field

From the moment I met Dr. Jennifer (de Jong) I was totally impressed and convinced that she would be my final doctor!! She is thorough and does not hesitate to refer if outside of her expertise! She actually listens when I speak and encourages me to check into my own complaints in order to help myself help her! Truly a partner to my medical care. Her front staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I have known Tracey for decades now (she worked in my previous doctor's office as well) and she is wonderful ensuring that patients with emergency needs be taken care of promptly!

Very knowledgeable, doesn't automatically prescribe medication , very quick with referrals.
