During this past flu season within 48 hours I found myself in the emergency department with shortness of breath, cough, congestion, ext.. typical flu symptoms. Unfortunately given my severely complex underlying medical condition, the flu can be a very dangerous infection for me. Dr. Forsthoefel took the time to listen to my complaints and concerns, and he also took the time to research and properly understand my medical history. His true concern, patience, and helpfulness went above and beyond my expectations one would have while working a very busy flu infested emergency room. He took the time to recheck my vital signs and breathing throughout my 6 hour visit. He made sure that I was sent home with the proper medication, and that I understood what I needed to look out for if my condition got any worse. The flu is never fun, and neither is going to the ER. I was very glad and relieved that Dr. Forsthoefel truly cared about my well-being just as much as I do.

Shame on TMH for keeping this doctor. Consistent bad reviews. Let me tell you my experience. Second trip to the ER in 2 days with a very, very bad headache. Dr. Forsthoefel came in and stated who he was and started looking at the computer. Said I don't know why they gave you morphine for a headache that's not for a headache. I started telling him why and he just walked out of the room. Never looked at or examined me. Never saw him again. The nurse came in with 4 shots. Two in each arm and said your dismissed. I never felt or got better just worse. Went back to the ER and got a competent doctor. She did a spinal tap and I had viral meningitis not a migraine. Spent 6 days in the hospital. This joke of a doctor nearly cost me my life. NO ONE SHOULD SEE HIM. HE SHOULD NOT BE IN PRACTICE. Unbelievable that TMH would employ such a doctor.

Dismissive, rude, arrogant and unwilling to perform any sort of diagnosis or even order testing. Went so far as to claim he's unable to order tests from the ER. How this scumbag has a medical license or is employed by a hospital I don't know. I'll be filing malpractice lawsuits against this doctor and TMH which is certainly aware of his behavior (especially following his recent DUI arrest).

Rude, dismissive, condescending completely ineffective. TMH can do so much better. This man is arrogant and will probably kill someone with his half assed "practice" of medicine. Will never seek treatment at this location if he's there. Great nurses though; sorry they have to work with such a jerk.

I came into the ER after falling down a flight of stairs. My leg was bent at a bad angle and turning 4 colors. This so called doctor walked in said "you didn't break anything, take advil". And then left. I would rather bleed to death than ever have to deal with this guy again.

This was an Emergency Room visit (extreme high blood pressure/heart). This doctor does not listen to the patient and he does not believe the patient (calling the patient a liar *). He is a young doctor that has to develop a more professional, kinder manner, and he has to learn how to diagnose symptoms correctly: he acts like a mean-spirited child with a stethoscope around his neck. I will not go into my treatment at the ER (long story), but I will say this: I was dismissed badly (part of this bad dismissal was that the doctor never, personally, examined me for my condition--that is, for why I visited the ER *). Misdiagnosis involved. God help the patients that are treated by this fellow that we are told to call Doctor. I'm a few years away from being 70 years old, and I have had 2 bad experiences in my lifetime with doctors (both in Tallahassee) . . . this 2nd experience shocked my husband and me.
