Absolutely terrible. Dismissive. Rude. Clearly didn’t care what I was saying. Made me feel stupid for expressing my worries about my health. I felt completely intimidated by his words and behaviour towards me. Left feeling like I didn’t matter.

If I could give him no stars I would. He berated me. Gaslit me. When I was having a serious POTS (postural Orthostatic tachycardia) flare (vertigo, low blood pressure, high heart rate - 130 resting at the time.., tremors, spasms, migraines, no circulation to my feet, the list goes on..) - he said it was anxiety. He made me cry rushing me down a hall way because he didn’t believe I felt faint and was seeing black. I could even feel the nurses uncomfortable. Not only did I record my HR on an oximeter which showed my HR jump from 70 to 140 in 7 seconds, an internalist completely agreed with me on having POTS. I had to push for blood work and x rays to rule out a clot. I literally feel like I have PTSD from dealing with a doctor who should have compassion and believe in you as a patient, but I was not taken seriously the moment he saw me. I know anxiety well! Believe me. I wish that’s all it was at the time! I’m glad I am cared for by proper medical professionals now. I’ve been wanting to write this for such a long time. Do better please. You affect people forever..

TLDR: (MY BF HAD A LARGE TUMOUR IN HIS SPINE. This was NEGLECT causing delayed treatment BY DR. COONE. Luckily we were able to remove most of it, no thanks to this guy) My boyfriend and I saw Dr. Coone in early February for worsening symptoms of his numbness, tingling and stiffness throughout his whole right side and starting in his left side. Dr. Coone failed to complete a proper neuro assessment and stated he saw no urgency in treating him for anything neuro related (because he said he was able to still walk with a limp). This patient is a YOUNG, otherwise healthy man.. this is NOT NORMAL.

I insisted he needed an MRI head because only a CT head was done which didn’t show anything (obviously). He told us to go BACK to our GI doctor who has been following him for years and to ask HIM to expedite more tests if he sees fit. We came to urgent care because we could not get a hold of anyone else… we expected him to expedite everything and merge those gaps.

We ended up going to emergency room at UH and they immediately admitted him to neuro unit for an MRI HEAD (which I asked Dr. Coone for) and that’s where they found a LARGE TUMOUR COMPRESSING HIS SPINE. his mobility and sensation severely deteriorated quickly. Luckily we didn’t wait to take him to emerg despite being passed off and dismissed by Dr. Coone who didn’t even complete a full neuro assessment.

I have never experienced such a rude, arrogant Dr. He was condescending, unknowledgeable and downright cruel. I know this comment won't affect him but I hope it gives comfort to other patients who look up this review. You are not alone.

Condescending and dismissive. Sent me home without any testing. I admitted at a different hospital, 12 hours later, near death

The nurse that was working for him was amazing. He was definitely not amazing. Very dismissive about issues presented by my son which, mimic symptoms his sister had at the same age and was diagnosed with MS. My son raised his concerns and he told us okay so what you have MS it’s not a big deal. You look fine. I would be extremely surprised at your age if you would have MS. How can you say that? And what kind of bedside manner is that? His sister was diagnosed at his age! He gave my son a migraine cocktail. It did nothing. When he returned he said well this isn’t an emergency follow up with your family doctor. I asked what my son was to do for his headaches, nausea and dizziness. He looked at me and said take Tylenol and Advil. We are Lee Andy told him those weren’t working! We were sent to emergency as the optometrist was concerned after my son’s eye exam. Not once did he ask about the severity of the headaches, or where and what they felt like, nor did he ask about the pain in his eyes. Where it was, what it feels Keli etc. He was condescending and very pompous, very belittling to my son when asking questions. Clearly, felt we were wasting his time. If you have him ask for another doctor!

I felt belittled, and as if he had a "God Complex"

Absolutely disgusting his bedside manner. It’s embarrassing to health care this doctor! No appropriate diagnostics ordered, does not listen to any thing the patient says and very condescending! Even 1 star is too generous for this egotistical man.

If I could give a zero I would in all regards. This doctor is a coward. Would not refer for appropriate diagnostics, let alone listen to anyone but himself. He’s is condescending and ran away when confronted with real issues or questions, leaving the nurse to deal with it. Pathetic excuse for a doctor. Pity the people who have to deal with him. Always get a second opinion.
