Biography
Dr Zana Marovic, is an international speaker and trainer, clinical psychologist, integrative psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and remedial yoga therapist with a PhD in Health Psychology. Dr Marovic is president of The International Transpersonal Association. She has been an invited speaker at conferences in Europe, The Middle East, Asia, the USA and South America. She has published papers in international academic journals and a book on clinical supervision. Dr Marovic served as a member of organizing & scientific committees (Greece, 2014; Czech Republic, 2017; India, 2018; United Emirates, 2019). Dr Zana established an academic psychology department at Rahima Moosa Hospital, in 1993. She was head of the psychology department & accredited supervisor for clinical training. In the last decade, her practice time is spent between consulting for Addnova Clinic and WITS University Donald Gordon Medical Center, Multidisciplinary Pelvic Floor Unit. Her interest in cross-cultural psychology and close collaboration with The South African Traditional Healers' Association, lead to development of cross-cultural training for psychologists. In 2009, she has also established the first accredited transpersonal training in South Africa. Dr Marovic is a creator of TranSomatic Body Intelligence Wellness Program, an embodied integrative psychotherapy approach that recognizes body or soma as the foundation and key to our emotional, mental and spiritual wellness. This unique approach, is a creative synthesis of variety of paradigms, from systems and quantum theory to positive psychology, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, yoga and transpersonal psychology.
