Dr. Henson assisted Dr. Paloschi (sp?) with all of my operations to rid me of Ulcerative Colitis in 1982-84 at Hotel Dieu. He was intelligent, professional, caring and had a great personality. I had the pleasure of getting to know him quite well over my 3 year stay at Hotel Dieu as we frequently chatted and joked with each other. That was 35 years ago and I have been able to live a very active and normal life all these years thanks to his professional care.

Made an error during my bowel resection (sewed ureter to bowel). Refused to listen to me and the nurses that there was a problem. Told me if I was right I would get sicker. What could ave been fixed simply right after surgery ended up being a year of horrible pain and being housebound and nearly bedridden while waiting to heal up enough for corrective surgery. I do not know if e is still practicing anywhere, but I knowh e is no longer at Kingston.

Horrible. Went there for a lump in my throat. Made me feel like I wasted his time and was not concerned. It's been over a year and lump is still there didn't even take a biopsy! Horrible bed side manner. Rude and has no empathy for his patients. Would not recommend going to this doctor at all!!! He does not look after his patients in caring matter.

Dr. Henson operated on me a number of years ago and I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable before and after he surgery. He also performed 2 colonoscopies in the last 10 years and again, he was very professional, kowledgeable and communicative.

i HAD BREAST CANCER AND HE HELPED ME BY ANSWERING ALL MY QUESTIONS. he was always kind AND WILLING TO LISTEN. I was so frightened when I got the diagnosis, but soon was comforted to be under his care.

Saw me within two weeks of my referral for a lump in my breast. Diagnosed with breast cancer which he dealt with surgically. Not warm and fuzzy but very competent and very honest. Instilled confidence, answered all questions. When I ran into problems with my drain, fit me into his clinics. That may have been why he is not on time in these clinics. he takes whatever time is necessary with his patients. I expected to wait at the clinics, as I have at every other specialty clinic. Also performed my colonoscopy. I would highly recommend him.

Doctor Hensen helped me when I got a concerning mammogram when I was 38 years old (a couple of years ago). He was very knowledgeable, experienced and he explained everything and answered my questions in a way that instilled confidence. He discussed all possibilities, including a fibroid cyst, breast cancer, and the rare possibility that it could be a radial scar which increases chances of developing breast cancer. I later found out that it was indeed a radial scar. When Dr. Hensen was supervising an intern when removing it, I was awake and was able to ask questions during the procedure. Dr. Hensen was professional and seemed most concerned with making sure that every precaution was taken to ensure my good health.

Over an hour late and he spent literally 5 minutes undermining my pain and knowledge on my abdominal pain. He was unable to offer any advice as to what my pain would be caused by and quickly disregarded my concerns. Unsympathetic and very cold man. Cocky too for providing no knowledge.
