James recently finished his practice at New Farm. He took the time to contact me and advise me some months ahead that he would be leaving. He ensured I had an ongoing referral to a psychiatrist. He wrote a letter to the new psychiatrist introducing me and sent me a copy of his letter so I could see what he wrote about me. He said it was his privilege to see me the course of my treatment. I feel very lucky to have had him as my doctor when I needed someone to help me.

I think it was this Dr I saw, but not 100% sure as it is a long time ago. I think psychiatrists are very well trained, expert in medical knowledge and they have superb listening, emphasizing skills. However, I did report to a few psychiatrists about someone whom had harmed me and no one did anything, except write a few scribbles in their jotting pad and they did look slightly concerned about what I was saying, but they didn’t report it to authorities as I thought they would. As I said I reported this to a few pscyhiatrists and then this monster went onto harm another person, so technically the psychiatrists should be charged for negligence. It is much better though then talking to your local parish minister, whom may also appear interested to listen, but again does nothing except pray for you, and broadcast what you have said to the whole congregation for their prayer list, which is totally absurd and I know someone whom became a missing person because of church. They went insane because of church rudeness.

I have seen James since I was 10 years old. I am now an adult working full time and I only see him every six months. He has always been available and he consistently listens and remembers everything that I tell him. He has an optimism that has inspired me with hope over the years when I was feeling like there was none. I am much better now but I am very grateful for the support he provided me during the very difficult years.
