Booked a telephone appointment, got no call, and no explanation as to why from the admin staff. Admin staff are TERRIBLE to deal with. So disappointing!!!

No one ever answers the phone. I've gone a year or more with out getting in because I can't get through.

He is absolutely horrid!!! he's a Dr that's in it for the money, and one of the reasons our health care system is in shambles. The broads behind the desk are just as bad phones are never answered during the times stated. You can only talk to him about one thing and hurry up about it. Talked to him about my under active thyroid then heaven forbid tried to talk to.him about my psoriasis he literally turned his back on me and said MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT! which I did so 3 weeks later I came back was literally in his office 2minutes took a quick look down at my foot and said he would put a referral in for a dermatologist. I waited 6 months no contact from a dermatologist this is pre covid so I called his office back and was told they FORGOT to put the referral in. It's bad when they had to put a sign up saying verbal abuse will not be tolerated well maybe if you all did your jobs right maybe you wouldn't get cussed out. These positive reviews I'm sure are left by family and friends. He's straight up a horrible Dr.

He is honest and down to earth. Very reputable and from my experience he has a heart of gold and deserves his place in Saint John’s board of medicine and practitioners.

My biggest issue is never being able to get through on the phone. Always greeted by a voice mail. If you've heard the latest recording... there will be a $10 charge if you need same-day prescription which has to be paid in advance. While I agree that it is our responsibility to contact the office for prescription renewal, the lack of reception on the other end makes this task almost impossible. How do you book any kind of appointment when phone is rarely answered?? It would also be helpful to return to annual prescriptions as opposed to 3 month. And let us not forget about when you call only to be greeted by the voice mail informing you that Dr. Ugabi has the office closed for 2 weeks for Hospital rounds. Nothing and no one for his patients to fall back on. Unacceptable!

Every time I have managed to get an appointment with him it’s always on the phone 6-8 weeks. When you ask him any questions or bring up any concerns he loses his composure and gets irritated and accuses you of doubting his knowledge. He refers most of the time to a specialist without even attempting to run tests. If you bring a possible solution to the table he dismisses it instantly then the next visit he will suggest doing the thing he dismissed the first time.
Honestly one of the most unprofessional doctors I’ve ever had to deal with.

I must say I was surprised and shocked to see the negative experiences, I have never had a negative experience with him, now his staff leaves a lot to be desired

I love Dr. Ugabi he has been my dr. for 13 years although a little harder to get into now he is amazing

Fantastic doctor. I wouldn't trade him for anything he treats us with respect and understands out concerns. Every time I have a visit with Dr Ugabi he always asks how things are going in my career and how well I'm doing with my Psychiatrist for my mental health. He also called my mother the day after her Tumour was removed, which was such an empathetic thing to hear a doctor do for a patient. They didn't have a consult scheduled he just wanted to call and ask how it went and was concerned for her health. The only reason I put 3 stars on helpfulness was the declined offer to fill out my disability tax credit form. But I will ask him next appointment as my Psych has a giant stack of forms to go through that are something 6-8 months old.

He is very knowledgeable in his field as a doctor, stemming from his wealth of experience. His calm disposition gives you an assurance that you are in the right hands and right place. He is always ready to help. Thank you for all you do. You are well appreciated.
