Excellent doctor. Really takes time with you and addresses all your concerns.
I feel very privileged to have him as my pain doctor. And the staff and classes at the pain clinic have literally saved me through some very tough times. Thank you Dr. Moyo and all the staff at the Edmonton Pain Clinic.

Doesn’t listen to the patients concerns. Was very late for all 3 phone call appointments and was not knowledgeable about my pain. Did not try to help other than send me to a pain management course and then told me there’s nothing more he can do. I feel like he didn’t even try to help or understand, just kept telling me to be happy and stay positive. Easier said than done with you’re in constant pain.

I have been to a few different pain specialists in Edmonton. Dr. Moyo is the first to listen to and make notes of, my long list of chronic pain symptoms derived from Fibromyalgia, breathing problems and a liver autoimmune disease.
Dr. Moyo is also the first doctor to suggest we remove medications which might be contributing to my chronic pain. He is also in favour of other means of pain management through education and participation.
I am extremely impressed that he did not just write me a prescription for medical marijuana, like the last pain ”specialist” did.
Not only did he suggest a great course of action for my treatment, but he also had his staff immediately book my next steps in that treatment.
Dr. Jubalani Moyo is a 5-Star doctor all the way. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

I recently seen Dr. Moyo for chronic facial pain. I went to the visit with my husband, to ensure that everything I experience was relayed well not only by me, but also by what my spouse notices. Dr. Moyo listened to me, asked my spouse questions and helped me to understand why I needed to get the many aspects of my well being under control to focus in on the various causes, potential fixes or pain control measures. I followed his instructions to the "T". Dr. Moyo also consulted with my family dr to ensure that they were both on the same page. I am seeing results my following his suggestions. I have no concerns about his professionalism or care for me. My medical health issues were not exactly life threatening and others experience way more pain that I was experiencing but Dr. Moyo did not dismiss the fact that my day to day life and activity level was affected and he seems genuinely interested in getting me back on track. Oh, and the staff that with him were outstanding, friendly and understanding

Had the pleasure of meeting Dr Moyo at the pain clinic. To my despair the poorly written recommendation letter. Dr Moyo negated and minimized my condition and pain and no reccomemdations for future care we’re advised. There recommendation letter had many errors about current health issues. To be honest the whole letter that was provided isn’t correct.

Dr Moyo is not respectful when a patient tries to tell their very complex pain issue in the short time we have to tell our history during the innitial appointment, or so I found. One will be labeled easily by this doctor. For patients who advocate for themselves be very aware that you will be labeled.

Dr Moyo’s errors within clinical notation that does become part of your medical history should be correct information.

I’m left now to do a complaint with the college of physicians of Alberta to rectify the many extreme errors he’s provided.

I have hopes that Dr Moyo can spend more time to the details of the patients, versus a very quick recommendation letter with extreme error that merits amendments of correction.

I appreciate the clinic took my refferal, but my overall impression is Dr Moyo’s lack of attention to detail, and picks and chooses patients based on his knowledge and necessity.

I’m not an Alberta’s, and waited 2 years for this appointment with Kaye clinic.

Truthfully, if a chronic pain patient can not be accepted into their program the refferal s should be denied and given presidence vs traveling in extreme pain and discomfort to be given zero helps.

Out of province patients should also have allowance to pain control and care. Being an out of province patient where no pain clinic exists left me waiting to get to Kaye clinic.

Driving 16 hours for an appointment where one is asked if they are currently suing a doctor, as well as labelling you a complex case, not listening to current concerns. I was asked what are your expectations with your visit. A logical answer to have a multidisciplinary assessment done to assist with my pain control.

The man couldn’t even pronounce my pain condition that came on and is life long and progresses to get worse with age. Really gave a lot of insight as he made his choice with my refferal from being out of province that I would not benefit from their program.

Was very biased being told no support individuals could be present during the appointment. I did indeed keep my support persons as I’ve learnt over the years that one can often miss a point here and there and especially with my hearing impairment.

Dr Moyo actively told me the don’t do’s, but not one true recommendation as what I should do for assistance and helps.

I guess when they say the man is a pain lecturer he truthfully is just that, clearly failed at dentistry in order to put himself in his current position. How do we say this cough cough, I had to try to get into medical school after failing 3 attempts at my interview that would either accept or deny me. To take dentistry to be brought into the faculty of medicine says a lot. Clearly worked his angles and got his acedemica together to accomplish anesthesiologist with a course to provide him rights to provide opioids, but the question remains what are his true credientials.

Ding ding ding, and you wonder why we have a crisis in Canada.

Sorry for the rant but patients should know what they are dealing with. No compassion, no care, and also no etiquette with confidential information period. Patient rights do come into play, and Dr Moyo plays along a very fine line of human rights complaints.

Be very assertive and very careful with this man, his practices will label you just another couplex case and leave you out in the cold. Always have a witness accompany, and ensure your wishes and rights are respected.

AHS, May god help you, as this man will continue to hurt many.

Signed
