At my first appointment, Dr Blosser listened to me for about a minute before interrupting me to recommend a prescription. I told Dr Blosser I couldn't take it because milk products make me violently sick. He said there was so little I probably wouldn't notice it. He recommended another medication. I told him it also had milk. He said he couldn't do anything for me and left. I talked his PA into getting him to prescribe me something I've tried before, but a week later they still haven't called my insurance to authorize it despite repeated messages and calls. Dr Blosser replied to one message with one word and no action. He didn't reply to any others, but he did reschedule my follow-up appointment to a different date with a different doctor--without asking or notifying me.

I was a pathetic of Dr Blosser for about 4yrs. After my initial colonoscopy, endoscopy I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia. Blosser ask me to wait a year, come back recheck and go from there. So a year later came back, hernia git larger, Blosser recommended a “TIF” new type of procedure to repair my hernia. Ok, so a surgeon is needed to replace my diaphragm, and they also set everything up, and make sure Blosser is scheduled as well to do the “TIF”. Well after the first time my surgery was set up, Blosser never responded back to the surgeon, so it was canceled. Had to reschedule about a month later. Ok, day of my surgery, arrive about 3hrs prior to my surgery, get prepped, and await my surgery, by the way being 53yrs old this will be my first surgery ever. So now still waiting my surgeon is late, Dr Blosser shows up we speak for a couple of minutes, he leaves. So now we are about 20 minutes past my scheduled surgery time, now the surgeon arrives, apologizing about being late, there was a fire alarm at his previous surgery at another hospital, no problem. Now they wheeled me into the OR, and put me under, goodnight. So, after me surgery, and in my room my wife is finally allowed in and “asks if I was aware what happened “ a little out of it, I said no. Well soon after I was was put under for my surgery, the surgeon called my wife and asked and a said the Dr Blosser left, and was not coming back, and what should he do? Well my wife immediately called Dr Blosser’s office and was given the runaround, and if you’ve ever spoken to the staff, they are rude, and dismissive, anyway my wife left a message for Dr Blosser to call her back to find out why he left. Well it’s been about 4 months and still haven’t heard from him.

This website needs some help. After reviewing the comments below , I have uncovered the following errors: 1. Dr Blosser does not perform liver biopsy ; 2. Dr Blosser does not prescribe narcotics ; 3. Dr Blosser prescribes the cutting edge medications for IBD ; 4. All test results are available online, no need for a phone call ( HIPAA ). Some of these comments may actually be LAIBLE ( liver biopsy )

Dr. Blosser is probably the worst doctor I have ever been to. He is "prescription crazy" and hands out pharmaceutical after pharmaceutical and never takes the time to discuss the role they diet and nutrition play in GI disease. He is arrogant, narcissistic and never took the time to answer questions or help educate patients. He has the worst bedside manner that I have ever encountered. Terrible physician.

Dr. Blosser was my doctor since I was diagnosed in 2005 with Crohns up until 2013. I went to him about 2 or 3 times a year up until he said there was nothing wrong with me and that my colonoscopy was perfect and that I needed to go see my GP doctor to see why I was feeling the way I was. After 2 blood tests that came back that I was Extremely anemic and near fatal levels of Iron, B12 and other key nutrients I went to the emergency room to discover that my Crohns disease was extremely flared up and it had caused 2 separate lower bowel blockages. Dr. Blosser even had given me a colonoscopy 2 weeks prior to this emergency room visit and said I was in great health. The 8 years I saw Dr. Blosser I really felt that he was treating me like a guinea pig. Every visit he suggested something I try some different kind of medication. He never really treated my condition as he seemed to be treating me as a test. I used to comment to my spouse that he seemed to throw darts at a board with pill names on it and wherever it landed was what he was prescribing that day/week. After my emergency room visit and following surgery to remove about 15 inches of my lower intestine, I can say that I wished I would have never went to Dr. Blosser and suggest that you don't either.

I saw him several times for pain in the lower abdomen, extreme weight-loss and nausea. I asked him if I might have Crohn's Disease, he replied, "Absolutely not." Dr. Blosser told me it was all in my head. Went into an emergency situation and my GP sent me to a different doctor who quickly found 3 fistulas hooked to other organs due to a severe case of Crohn's Disease. Needless to say, if left under the guidance of Dr. Blosser, I would certainly not be alive today to write this review.

The entire staff is great, not only did they run like a well-oiled machine, they made me feel cared for as a person. I only saw the PA when I was doing fine - while I was trying to get a UC flare under control I saw the doctor in person. He answered all my questions and while I like his no-nonsense bedside manner, I love his dry sense of humor. I have and will continue to recommend Dr B to everyone I know. I found him extremely easy to communicate my issues with and I received clear and concise answers to my questions. I am more than satisfied with the care I received. The new surgical center is great - I enjoyed all the personal attention, the recliners, hot blankets, etc. I brought a book because I expected to be left waiting, but I never got a chance to read it as there was always someone checking to see if I had questions or if they could make me more comfortable. If I were any more comfortable I would have fallen asleep.
