Dr Wallace is an outstanding surgeon. Compassionate and very very intelligent. My background is in healthcare. Very few surgeons are trained in oncology, reconstruction, and plastic surgery. Outstanding surgeon.so grateful for her help during covid with a new diagnosis on a routine Mamogram. She is careful to use blocks for nerves via her anesthesia team pre surgery. She is detailed and analylitical on the medicine or surgery. She is compassionate and Uber talented. Don’t know many surgeons that can do tram flap , microvasive in past and oncology and plastic surgery. Trust her she will get the best result with the placement of tumor and you will love it and most importantly will have your oncology surgery completely resolved . She is kind and I admire her ability and so does community as she is training new young women and men and running prestigious department. Thank you for what you do and fit helping us! You are a blessing to this world.

I had an appointment with Dr. Ann Wallace on November 3rd for a breast reconstruction revision consultation. That morning, I received a voicemail from her assistant, Michelle, indicating that Dr. Wallace was in the OR and they needed to reschedule my appointment. I left Michelle a message as I was directed to do so that afternoon and never heard back from her to get back on Dr Wallace’s calendar. I called Michelle a week and a half later and left another message. No call back once again. I left my third and final message with her a week ago and still no call back. This lack of responsiveness is unprofessional and quite frankly gives me a lack of self-confidence with the operations of this medical practice.

I had a lumpectomy Sept 2021 by Dr Wallace. At the surgery consult visit Dr Wallace, her student dr, as well as the NP all were very patient and went over my diagnosis with me. I feel the visit was thorough and I never felt rushed. She stopped by during pre-op as did several other team members. During post op I had several visitors but honestly can't recall the visits in detail. I experienced almost no post op pain and didn't need any pain meds. Still going to follow up visits but so far I am very pleased with my procedure.

Few Doctors are as compassionate and skilled as Dr. Wallace. She saved my pregnant wife with Stage 3 Breast cancer at 39 and as a result our baby boy has his Mother every day. She commanded our case in a way that few could have matched. We had to change insurance providers half way and she helped greatly for that to happen. When everything looked dire and grim, she turned things around along with her team and steered us towards a bright outcome. You have the power to change lives for the better and you choose to do so with care and selflessnes. We are all fortunate that people like you walk among us. Did I mention she saved my Mom too? Eternally grateful!

I was one of her patients years ago and I cannot forget the trauma I went through with this callous doctor who keeps posting videos as though the videos were a replacement for caring care, particularly post-op. I believe there is a crisis in the system that no one has addressed. It might have to do with the funding they receive from the Komen Foundation and the guidelines imposed to treat patients. Perhaps they are over-screening and diagnosing everyone with breast cancer, so that doctors can practice with gullible patients. It follows that as more patients are diagnosed with a cancerous condition, then the doctors and the departments of oncology and breast surgery receive more money from the Foundation(s), and if the Foundation(s) report more cases, then the foundation managers cater to wealthy people who have been hit by the horrible disease. This may explain why these self-promoting physicians advertise themselves as experts, but they do not really answer the questions patients have after surgery. Patients do not see the surgery or the consequences of inserting big titanium clips or receiving chemo immediately after the surgery when the wounds are open. After the emotional trauma and major frustration of my life, I want to see video-recordings of real surgery and thorough detailed explanations of guidelines and moneys used that are coming from private sources and mixed and “matched” with taxpayers moneys, i.e. UCSDHeatlh. Material for Brad Racino et al.

I saw Anne at the age of 32 and she had the most insensitive bedside manners of any doctor I have ever seen. I was diagnosed by her as a stage 1 breast cancer patient , she would not offer me a PET scan, any blood tests or body imaging to allow for a complete diagnosis. In fact she saw a lesion in my liver due to just fate on my part during a breast MRI and still would not evaluate the liver, thankfully I got a second opinion and learned I had stage 4 breast cancer that was shown in a PET scan.

Dr Wallace is the BEST. Came in for 2nd opinion and never left. From the first call with her assistant. She was very caring and knowledgeable and put me at ease. Later meeting the rest of the staff I knew I made the best decision ever.

Anne Wallace is a ROCK STAR. She did my masectomy when I was 28 weeks pregnant. She is a top notch surgeon and compassionate. I did trust her with my life and my unborn babies life. After my mastectomy I have NEVER had any swelling in my arm and I didn't have that same neuropathy I hear so many other women complaining about. My good friend who also had Dr. Wallace had the same excellent results with outcomes.

Wallace was the worst physician and experience I ever had, although so warm and nice before surgery. I am still alive so she was ok in surgery. I lost my breasts after problems with surgery. Much of that had to do with her callous behavior and cold and calculating secretary or some such.

Dr. Wallace comes across very cold & technical. She seemed rush when asking her questions. Her bed side manner could be better but she is very knowledgeable. Other patients have said follow-up after surgery was very little, not even a visit post-op to tell me how the surgery went. Comes across not really caring. Her assistant Deb is just great & comes across very caring!
