Dr. Pavelic is not my regular dentist only because his office on West Mall was too far by transit. So my current dentist is walking distance. However Pavelic was recommended by a French horn player friend who held him in high regard. I have gone to him for a few dental issues when I didn't have a dentist, and found him totally professional & helpful. He didn't charge for a checkup, which can cost up to $130 by Dental College rates (maybe because I don't have dental insurance. Also a nice guy!

He’s a terrible dentist and has been reprimanded by the college numerous times. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Dr. Mislav Pavelic is the worst dentist. Do NOT RISK YOUR HEALTH with him. He has years of experience, but can mess up a simple treatment.

Dr. Pavelic kindly agreed to see me when my own dentist fell ill. I had a major wisdom tooth problem and it had t be removed. He explained the procedure completely and proceeded with the removal applying a light tender touch to my mouth and gentle insertion of freezing by which I mean he informed me when it will be painful and prepared me. The tooth was out before I even knew and he smiled happily at me and told me any problems just call him. Wonderful dentist.

Both of my kids were under the amazing care of Dr. Tuli. My kids always looked forward to their dental appointments, enjoying each visit since they were 3 years old. After having grown up myself with an excellent family dentist, I have a sense of what makes a good pediatric dentist. In fact, Sherway Dentistry prides itself of quality dentists as noted on its website. The positive experience we’ve had during the past 2 years, changed in the recent two appointments (November and December 2020) of my 5-year-old son when he was entrusted under the care of Dr. Mislav Pavelic. Everything that one expects from a professional dentist that looks after young people was non-existent: impatient, abrupt, no warmth or reassuring smile to a scared boy about to get a filling for the first time. Everything hurt for him – it was not a good experience. Despite that, I gave Dr. Mislav Pavelic the benefit of the doubt, given that these were first fillings for my son. But the second follow up treatment two weeks later was no better. The second procedure was very transactional like the first – no compassion or reassuring words to a yet again scared kid. When the nitrous oxide was administered (decided by the dentist on the fly), there was no attempt at keeping me in the loop of what was to be done or what to expect. My intermittent questions (in response to seeing my kid writhing, squirming and crying in pain) were brushed off and ignored (I heard a chuckle between him and his assistant Tina in disbelief that I was asking questions, totally ignoring me). What I witnessed was a horrible treatment of my son sitting helplessly and crying incessantly (even with the nitrous oxide on his nose) from beginning to end – his hand brushed away with force (with the dentist saying “No one has the right to yell at the dentist. Only I, the dentist, can yell” when my son was not even yelling at him!); and the attachment on his nose pushed down hard every now and then. After the procedure on both occasion, there was no debriefing done with me, or immediate follow-up on how my son who was feeling – he was still crying and complained about dizziness, showing extreme discomfort. No information was given to me; I had to pull it out from this dentist (the short time he stayed after the procedure) and his assistant Tina to know the next steps and what to watch out for to ensure that everything is alright. The key is communication and basic courtesy. A good dentist will brief the parent or patient on what to expect before the procedure, and circle back after the procedure. It was a painful and an unbelievable experience to say the least. The worse is hearing from Dr. Pavelic, on both occasions, that it’s always hard on the parent, not on the child. And the child always finds a way to act up when a parent is around. These unfortunately are words unbecoming of professionals in health care. The only thing that is going well for this clinic is the wonderful people at the front desk. I did get a call a few days after the procedure asking me how my son is doing. But before I could answer, the call dropped and I was never called back. Do yourself a favour - stay away from Dr. Pavelic. My husband and I have an amazing dentist in downtown so I will be pulling out both my kids from this horrible care (never mind the big distance from home) so they will grow knowing, recognizing, understanding and experiencing what excellent professional dental care is all about. I’m thankful that my son is a trooper and is not showing any trauma despite this horrific ordeal, but I can only imagine how triggering this experience can be if he was to continue getting treatment at this clinic.

Dr. Pavelic answered my questions in a condescending way and didn’t really display any concern for my situation. I felt much worse leaving my appointment. He didn’t even say goodbye - he just left after I said thank you. He may be knowledgeable but he really didn’t deliver information in a compassionate way.

Dr. Pavelic and the staff are all awesome. This goes without saying. I would refer Dr. Pavelic in a quarter of a second. Everybody is very helpful, friendly as well as professional.

I'm very happy with this dentist and Sherway Dentistry as a whole. Dr. Pavelic has fixed a broken tooth and I have had a few cleanings with the hygienist. Everyone has been pleasant and accomodating and I will recommend to friends and family!

Very professional and does his work well, but not very friendly and just doesn't seem to care about my pains or concerns. I know he'll do a good job every time, but i never feel comfortable with him. He's not really all smiles and friendly with me as others say. Always in a rush, as if he just wants to get me out of the way.

From the moment I walked in I was greeted with smiles and friendly conversation. Dr Pavelic, along with Gloria and the whole staff made me feel completely comfortable from the very start. His knowledge is nothing less than extensive and I was very appreciative that he took his time with me to explain all my options. I’m thoroughly impressed with the work that I’ve had done here and have already booked follow-up appointments. Coming from somebody who has had some pretty unpleasant dental experiences, Sherway Dentistry totally changed my opinion of what it can and should be like to visit the dentist. Happy to call myself a new permanent patient of theirs.
