i have been a patient of DR LORNE TUGG for many years! i suffer from pretty bad mental health: i must say i have not one complaint about this very proffesional smart DOCTOR! he does not try and experiment with medications on you, he works hard to identify your problems and match you with the proper medications! he listens and has empathy! because of Dr TUGGS help im still alive and not dead by my own hand!! i have a Service Dog who i cherish and helps me very much again thanks to DR TUGG. i believe people who speak Bad of DR TUGG, are wrong about what they say, and its rude to try and tarnish a GREAT DOCTORS NAME... He helps PEOPLE!! he does what he can, he sees so many people!! MUCH RESPECT TO THIS MAN/DOCTOR! M.V the reason i put helpfulness at 3 stars is because my condition nothing can help i can only manage it.

I was a past patient of Dr. Tugg. From past interactions there is no doubt that he is a well respected and good doctor. He saw that I suffered from a mental illness and quickly made the correct diagnosis. This doctor is highly regarded in the medical community and I had the honour to be treated at NY gen. Thank you Doctor Tugg.

Extremely arrogant, raging and totally incompetent. What a sign of relief when I departed ! You would swear this is the kind of very dangerous doctor whose mission is to break individuals so that they can push pills and inappropriate treatment on them later. This doctor seemed to be totally deranged himself. A real bully if you dare disagree with him too. I went through the most ridiculous assessment and had the good doctor's judgment without him even talking to me. Utterly ridiculous.
This guy went into a rage and tried to bully me into going into CAHM for a phantom addiction, pulled out of thin air. Good thing I stood my ground and refused.
It is the type of people who potentially could do a lot of harm to you if you do not have good critical thinking.

Dr Tugge made an assesment and the report he wrote looked like it had been written before our session. It did not reflected what we discussed and what we dicussed with his assistant. It also looked like he had not review the notes from my family doctor

Dr. Tugg is one of the worst doctors that I have ever seen in my life. He is rude, condescending, always rude, dismissive of his patients and their opinions, self-righteous, arrogant, and really not a nice guy. He does not care about the amount of harm that his words or actions bring onto his patients. Being a doctor was supposed to be an honourable profession, and they had one guiding principal, which was the Hippocratic Oath: I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant: I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow. Doctors are supposed to do no harm. They are supposed to help patients heal and become better. Hurting patients with words, a lack of empathy, or just incompetence is not OK. Maybe Dr. Tugg should consider a new profession. Perhaps one where he does have to deal with people, given his very poor social/people skills. This way, and endless number of very vulnerable psychiatric patients, can be spared undue pain and suffering at his hands.

Terrible shrink . Rude and so arrogant. Thinks he is so smart. Not helpful. Go to another psychiatrist.

Dr. Tugg is the worst psychiatrist I have ever had. He is an arrogant mansplainer with zero empathy. He charges ridiculous amounts of money for missed appointments when people are actively recovering from psychosis and cannot pay due to limited income.

The staff was alright , busy place with several doctors, Tugg wasn't as expected. Tugg mostly is disinterested and doesn't pay much attention to patient needs. Not very professional at all.

Dr. Tugge has to be one of the worst doctors at NYGH. He was disrespectful, dismissive, and homophobic. He has the worst bedside manners as he stated all the statistics up against me instead of providing proper treatment and hope. I highly suggest finding another psychiatrist if you get referred to him.
