My wife was referred to Dr Gapski 4 months ago with an aggressive form of breast cancer. He delivers what is needed, facts, recommendations and treatment backed by a depth of knowledge. He and his staff have displayed compassion and consideration. His impending retirement is a loss to the medical profession and us personally.

No bedside manner.Reads your results in front you.Personality of a toe nail.Cant wait for everyone to die .He should retire. His nurse Celina would mess up the lords prayer can never get appointments right.I would never recommend this doctor cold as ice and never asks how we feel or wants to listen.Read a book he says because no one is getting sleep.stage 4 wouldn't prescribe pain killers or sleeping pills .horrible just horrible

I was referred by my family doctor to Dr. Gapski in August 2006 when I was diagnosed with leukemia. Were it not for him, I would not be around today. I was so fortunate to have one of the most knowledgeable, conscientious and compassionate medical professional over all these years. Dr. Gapski is retiring and another oncologist was assigned to me. What a difference. I am not questioning the medical competence of the new doctor, but the thorough care shown by Dr. Gapski at every appointment sure is lacking. I agree that Dr. Gapski does not waste time talking on and on but I much prefer knowing that I had his support and could contact his office anytime over someone who pontificates and is always ridiculously late. His nurse, Celina, is super, always there if we need extra info.

it kind of seemed like he did even read my mothers file because as he was sitting in front of us he was brutal and keep in mind we were there to find out if we were going to be receiving chemo so it was all tense enough. needs a much better bedside for sure. his counterpart dr. wan was much better knew the file without having to reference and much friendlier demeanour. overall the office is very warm when you come in which is hard to believe given the news and treatments people are receiving but then you meet gapski and it feels chilly and under prepared.

just a number to him.Very vage .Makes you feel horrible. Can't give you direct answers. Its like pulling teeth to get anything out of him.every appointment is tough .He reads your results like its the first time he has ever seen them.Very disappointed. Its hard enough dealing with cancer he needs to retire. As far as Celina goes she never listens.Wish there was better support that would answer questions in detail.Saying to someone our success rate is 5 years is cold.like a retirement plan.I guess only4 years left give or take and you can't even prescribe sleeping pills.

Totally rude, absolutely no bedside manners , considering he is NOT the one who is suffering

Thanks to dr Gapski, my Breast cancer journey was so much less scary than I thought it would be. Three and a half years now and I was hoping he would in charge of my care until the 5 years milestone if he does not retire by then.... Super as a doctor, and even better as a person.
