Good bedside manner, but that's it. I complained of persistent nausea that had been going on for 20 years and gas and "gurgles." Doctor did an endoscopy. We met in the office later to discuss the results. He told me he was going to prescribe Zoloft because my stomach problems were related to anxiety. WHAT--ZOLOFT--BY A GASTROENTEROLOGIST?! I asked him if he'd had experience prescribing this medicine in these situations and he said something like "absolutely!" He failed to ask me if I'd been treated for anxiety, in treatment, or if I'd ever taken Zoloft. He did not look at my medical records apparently because if he had, he would have seen I was being treated and had been treated with every non-narc on market. I couldn't take him seriously after he failed with that, so I threw away the script, and there was never a follow up. So I still had symptoms. I saw my new PCP.He saw pics and in 1 min said I had an inflamed stomach lining and to treat it with OTC antacid for only 1 month. Solved
