I visited him today. He didn't give patient hearing to me nor he gave sufficient time. He just gave me 30 seconds and told me to go out. His approach was very rude. For just 30 seconds he changed me ₹1250/- as consultation. I am extremely unhappy with his approach.

Name :Avadhut Govind Vaidya
Age: 47 Yrs.
Profession: Engineer, IT consultant
I am working in Middle East. In start of August 2017, while working at home, I got severe back pain. Doctors gave me some pain relief injections and tablets for muscle relief and all. They asked me to visit to orthopedic consultant.
Next week I visited to orthopedic consultant who examined me and again give me some pain killer medicines along with tablets for muscle relief and asked me to visit again. This was continued for almost one month. During this time my back pain was somewhat ok but right thigh started painting severely. I was not able to walk even for 10 steps. Doctors were continuing same medicines.
At the end of September 2017, at one point my right thigh sensations start losing. This was kind of emergency alarm. I immediately travelled to India and visited Dr. Raghav Barve who is orthopedic surgeon at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital. He asked me to go for MRI. On the same day I went for MRI test. After 2 days I again went to Dr. Barve with MRI reports. He referred my case to Dr. Jaydev Panchwag Sir.
Dr. Panchwagh Sir suggested me that there is a need to go for surgery since there is a tumor in lumbar which is causing the pains in right thigh. If this continue for another 15 days there might be paralysis attack on right side of body. This was quite shocking for me. He told me not to get panic and now the case is in his hand on right time. He asked me to visit Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital immediately.
I got admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital next day on 26/09/2017. Doctor planed surgery on 27/09/2017.Till surgery time I was quite frightened and never thought of this kind of health issues related to neurology and spinal cord.
It was more than 5 hours surgery and surgery was successful. On third day, Dr. Panchwagh Sir came to me and asked me about my health as routine checkup. He told me that he had done his job and asked me to decide how much time keep laying here in hospital. He asked to me to walk immediately. There was lot of pains due to surgery. But doctor asked me walk. Almost 6 persons were helping me to walk with walker. With all this, I could able to walk only 5 steps. Then I was practicing to walk every day. He was pleased with my progress and I got discharged on 03/10/2017.
During next visits after surgery doctor asked me to walk with supporting belt every day. Due to surgery I was losing the confidence and fearing whether I can work again, walk again or not. After each visit doctor boosted my moral and given me words of confidence. At the end of October he asked me to travel back to Middle East and just keep the waking and climbing staircase exercise every day.
I just continued whatever he said. I was doing this whole year. Initially I was not able to walk few steps. Later there was improvement and I could able to walk some distance till end of 2018.
During regular 6 moths visit, he asked me to continue walking and boosted my confidence. By seeing progress, in Jan 2019 he suggested me to get physiotherapist consultancy from Dr. Neha Kulkarni-Agashe from physiotherapy section. Dr. Neha taught me many small exercises to strengthen leg muscles. With these exercises there was tremendous progress and I could able to walk more and more in better way.
Till date I am continuing walking and the exercises suggested by Dr. Panchwagh sir and Dr. Neha.
Now I am able to walk 10 KM in one stretch and even can do other stretching exercises. From last 6 months I have started cycling too.
This all credit goes to Dr. Panchwagh sir. I do not have words to thank him. This is kind of re-birth for me. When I heard about surgery, my confidence reached to zero. But during every visit he boosted my confidence and suggested me simple exercises which I can do easily based on my progress. I feel this is a rare quality and something beyond the medical profession. He removed fear from my mind with which now I can walk as normal before.
Dr. Panchwagh sir is a straight forward person, and fully confident about his surgical expertise. His instructions of things to ‘do and don’t are very clear. One should listen it carefully and implement it 100%. I also take this opportunity to thank his friendly team of young surgeons / doctors. I take this opportunity to thank Dr. Raghav Barve (Orthopedic Surgeon) Mrs. Khaladkar , Dr.Santosh, Dr. Pawar and my physiotherapist Dr. Neha Kulkarni- Agashe
Logistics and infrastructural facilities at the DMH were of high standard. Last but not the least I must mention that the nursing staff at the ICU and at the ward was experienced, proficient and smiling.

I suffered my first trigeminal neuralgia attack in 2013 at the age of 66. This was a significantly minor attack that was resolved with Tegrital within a month. The second and very severe attack was faced in June 2017 that took almost 7 months to resolve. The pain was excruciating while chewing, swallowing, brushing and talking. The experience was extremely unpleasant and unforgettable. It also restricted most of my personal and official outdoor activities. Though the pain was fairly controlled, drowsiness with heavy doses of Tegrital and Pregabalin also led to lack of confidence. For most part of the day I used to be ‘zombie’ with overpowering sleepiness.
When I started feeling the third TN attack in August 2018 I realized what was coming and I was not ready to suffer those pains again. It was clear that medicines will have limited effects and the surgery (MVD) was eminent. On inquiry through various sources only one name emerged prominently and that was of Dr. Jaydev Panchwagh.
Dr Panchwagh is a specialist in TN surgeries of course, along with his other neurosurgical expertise. Counseling offered by Dr Borde and then discussions with Dr Panchwagh completely convinced me. My dilemma about when to undergo surgery and who will do the surgery was resolved. For me, it would be done by Dr Panchwagh and that too as early as possible. My wife also agreed to this decision instantly.
Four days after consultations at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital (DMH), Pune successful surgery was performed on 7 Sep 2018 with his usual skills and confidence. Dr Panchwagh is a straight forward person, never minces words and fully confident about his surgical expertise. His instructions of things to ‘do and don’t do’ were unambiguous matching to his ‘no nonsense’ character. He was pleased with my progress and I was discharged six days pot-surgery. Sword of TN pain constantly hanging over my head has vanished and I am ready for my active life with great relief and confidence. Thanks to Dr Panchwagh.
Apparently, he seems to be enjoying support from his very competent and friendly team of young surgeons / doctors. I take this opportunity to thank Drs Savita, Ganesh, Deepesh and Santosh. If I have missed any name(s) the ignorance and faults are mine. Logistics and infrastructural facilities at the DMH were of high standard. Last but not the least I must mention that the nursing staff at the ICU and at the ward was experienced, proficient and smiling.
A big thank you to all again.

I am working as technical IT professional(Technical Architect) in software programming. I had undergone through severe headache and neck pain. Pain of my head was much more severe compare to tooth pain or kidney stone pain. Initially I thought it was normal but then it went
to a level that I had increased my doses of pain killer and later on the pain became extremely unbearable.I started feeling loss of memory and was unable to recall things(memory). I was not in position to talk with people and my relatives, I forgot complete names of my friends and relatives. I was not in condition to talk more than few words.

I was admitted to hospital in an emergency. As suggested by MD Dr. Parag Vaste , I had gone through the MRI and CT scan , then found that I have "Blood Clots" in my brain. Due to this my brain was swelling in size and affecting my memories and talk functions of brain.
This became the emergency case. In such situation, immediately Dr. Jaydev Panchawagh(HOD/Head-Neurology Department) done the surgery. I was admitted in hospital for 15 days. Dr Jaydev Panchawagh had put good Doctors from His department/team i.e. Dr. Borde, Dr. Savita, Dr. Santosh, Dr. Niveta.

When I was in hospital for 15 days, I was depressed, sad.. thinking , 'what will happen in future?' , These doctors always motivated me. I felt positivity in my mind thoughts. ...whenever I see Dr Jaydev Panchawagh, MD Dr Parag Vaste and doctors from Neurology department while they come to see me for routine visit, I was feeling very good happy mood. Some times, I talked with these Doctors happily and some time with humor :) They used to talk very softly ,always encouraging.

Dr Jaydev Panchawagh along with his team had performed operation, and the pain vanished. Now after 1 or 2 months, almost I recover to brain 98% , remaining 2% will be recovered in coming 1 or 2 months, Now I don't have any pain, I can fluently talk, even I can debate on any topic for long time , ha ha ha :) My diet and health become normal. I feel like this is my 2nd birth(rebirth).

Thanks to Dr Jaydev Panchawagh(HOD/Head-Nurology Dept), MD Dr. Parag Vaste along with team of Dr Jaydev Panchawagh(Dr. Borde, Dr. Savita, Dr. Santosh, Dr. Niveta).

I am going to join my company after 4 days. I thought that I should write my 4 month journey. I can now feel that what is real life. I am taking very positively that happens to me(brain). I learned How one has to take the life. I realized that what is important in life.

Dr Jaydev Panchawagh(HOD/Head-Neurology department) is an excellent neurosurgeon. Thanks @Dr Jaydev Panchawagh and his team. Dr Jaydev Panchawagh is very helpful, provide advice to patient(me) about my lifestyle, exercise and how I should take the approach while rejoining my office/company. He explain softly about everything. Gives/provides sufficient time to patient .I think He is one of the best Neurosurgeons. He has excellent experience in spine, neurosurgery & complex surgeries.
