I have had Dr Doucette for 2 TMJ surgeries and I could not have asked for a more kind and caring surgeon. When I have meet with him in his office he is punctual,listens to my concerns and explains what is happening thoroughly. When I was at the VG for surgery he again was very kind, caring and compassionate. He really knows his profession and is very smart and he never makes you feel less then. He treats you with respect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone I care about.

Dr. Doucet performed my wisdom teeth extractions and removed all 4 in 45 minutes without any complications. Three of them were impacted and none we’re erupted, yet he was capable of getting it done smoothly and quickly. I had minimal swelling post-op and healed quickly compared to what I thought would happen based on others’ experiences. Highly recommend his work!

I was nervous getting 2 implants placed at the same time but he and his staff put me at ease right away and were professional at every step. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. He truly cares for his patients and has a wonderful bedside manner and enjoys teaching his patients. If I ever need oral surgery again, I hope he will still be with the Halifax clinic.

I just discovered this website! Dr Doucet is an amazing surgeon. I found him to be patient , compassionate , intelligent and kind. He performed a very difficult surgery with fantastic results. His follow up care is second to none. I have complete trust in him and would recommend him 100%. I had upper and lower jaw surgery, wisdom teeth extracted and an implant placed. Dr. Doucet is very committed to his patients, he helped me with an issue with my jaw which was both functional and aesthetic, and thus a source of physical as well as emotional pain. He and his team performed a surgery which in their practice may be considered minor, but it was a big deal for me and I won't forget it. Thank you Dr. J.C Doucet and team, best wishes from MJK.

His residents are fantastic, really the only high point. Dr. Doucet's demeanour and how much time he is willing to spend seems to be very mood-dependent- same goes for the treatment protocols he will propose. He was quite condescending and rude the last few times I visited. I feel stuck as it is the only OMF clinic in Halifax and have been informed that getting a referral for a different doctor in the same clinic would be "awkward", and possibly denied.

Dr. Doucet performed jaw surgery on me last summer and removed my wisdom teeth, and my experience with him was fantastic. He is kind, and makes the process a lot less stressful. Nearly a year later and I couldn't be happier with my bite.

This doctor is AMAZING. Did my wisdom teeth and had minimal swelling and brusing as well as no pain. Was very impressed with how quick the proceedure was.
