Wish I hadn't listened to his insistence on more surgery than I need and just fixed my ACL when I had the time off available to heal. Now I've lived with not repairing ACL for prob far too long and having knee trouble because of it. Regret I didn't just ask him to repair the darn ACL and be done with it.

Dr. Getgood and his team are amazing. From the moment I had my consultation I knew that I was in good hands. Dr. Getgood took the time to show me my MRI, explain the issues and what treatment was available. I had a full tear of my ACL and near full tear if my MCL. I decided on surgery. Dr. Getgood's Admin Assistant Danielle was awesome to deal with and I got booked in for surgery fairly quickly. On the day of my surgery Dr. Getgood and his research team explained what exactly would happen and my immediate recovery. The surgery went off without a hitch and Dr. Getgood checked in on me when I woke up. A week after surgery, I had my follow up and was given the green light to start physio. At 4 weeks I had another follow up where Dr. Getgood said I was progressing well. He takes the time to really make sure you are healing well. Recovery is painful and hard but I feel that Dr. Getgood and his team are rooting for me and have been very supportive. I can't wait to show him my progression at my 3 month follow up. Thanks to him and his team I will soo be able to enjoy the activities I once did prior to my accident!!

Doctor Getgood is nice, yet his love of research unfortunately trumps quality care for his patients. Dr. Getgood continuously told me my second surgery failed because I hadn't done physiotherapy, and it was just a battered knee at that point. Being a a competitive/intense athlete and someone who knows their body, I found this to be completely untrue. When I moved to Nova Scotia, and my knee kept dislocating (2x a day) Dr. Coady immediately ordered me an MRI (which Dr. Getgood refused in London). We found out actually my second surgery failed, and there was material in my knee that should have been taken out. If I never moved to Nova Scotia, the quality of my life would have been much different, due to Dr. Getgood's refusal to even give me a scan. On top of all that, he continuously tried to call me to get to be in a study, and by that point, I transparently told them I would not give my time of day to someone who didn't give me theirs.

After suffering a devastating knee injury at the age of 23, Dr. Getgood has given me a second chance for an active life by preforming a multi ligament knee reconstruction and hamstring bicep tendon repair. i am 9 months post injury and i am walking without assistance, able to use stairs again, and i just completed my first 10 km hike! i am forever grateful for the medical expertise and talent of Dr. Getgood and his team. 23 years ago I was in a horrible car accident that caused a lot of damage to my right knee.. I lost the best years of my life as a result.. I was essentially disabled, but didn’t claim to be.. the pain was awful.. 23 years of neglect caused compartmental osteoarthritis, bone spurs and tears in the meniscus.. I went in for surgery on March 3rd, it’s now April 7th, exactly 5 weeks after.. and I seriously couldn’t be MORE PLEASED with the results of his work!! Pain went from a solid 8-9 prior to surgery to a 0.5 which is a HUGE game changer for me after 23 years!! The “specialists” in my home town wouldn’t even touch my knee, and referred me directly to him..

Dr getgood, and his staff are the best there is!! Super knowledgeable, and he cares a lot about the individual patients he has..

He did an opening wedge high tibial osteotomy on me, and the difference in my gait when I walk, I’m much more confident taking a step now, without the concern of my knee giving way with every step.. and MY LEG IS STRAIGHT!! This is something I haven’t seen for at least 15 years!! No bend, no bow, no twist.. just arrow straight!! Thanks to Dr Getgood, I can get my life back that I knew 23 years ago.. from the bottom of my heart, I thank you Dr Getgood!! I couldn’t thank you enough!!

I owe the next 23 years of my life to this man!! All of this, is because of Dr Getgood!! He should get more than 5 stars.. 5 just isn’t enough for him!!

Amazing doctor, very helpful, knowledge that boggles my mind. He was incredible helpful during my husband's recent surgery and with that surgery he has been able to provide my husband with better quality of life.

DR. Getgood did my daughter's ACL repair 2 years ago.. as a competitive cheerleader I am so grateful that her coach recommended Fowler Kennedy. our treatment there was outstanding!!!! She got into a study, and her care recovery was followed for two years. Every step of the way things were explained in detail, and the care was exceptional!! When my daughter had the intention of becoming a firefighter, she went back to see him again, upon her assessment she was told that right knee was now no more likely to fail than her left. And was cleared to do the extreme physical tasks and training required for that line of work. She has not once complained of pain from her injury 3 years post op after passing her physical requirements at the top of her class. I honestly believe that this would not have been the outcome if it was somewhere else! She was already finished Physio and walking before we even got a call for a consultation for an orthopedic surgeon in our city.

Amazing doctor. I have been going to him since I was 15. After seeing my MRI's he told me that I would need surgery at some point but said that if my knees were not hurting at the time, then he would just keep an eye on me. Had yearly appointments after that and just this past year, decided that surgery might be the best option as they were causing me a lot of paid. Have surgery and could not be happier with the outcome.

Anything less than a five star review would be an understatement for this man. Dr.Getgood clearly PRACTICES PATIENT CENTRED CARE, instead of just saying his practices patient centered care like most health care providers. He is very knowledgeable and confident in his decision making process which made my wife and I feel comfortable with what he suggested would be best for her knee regarding surgery. Dr. Getgood is the most down to earth, professional, honest, and easy to talk to health care provider that my wife and I have had the pleasure of discussing her knee injury with over the past two years. When most of the specialists in our area of NWO said nothing can be done, Dr. Getgood made a plan within a 30 minute consultation where he completed a full subjective, objective and diagnostic review analysis prior to stating his opinion for future care. Dr. Getgood allowed my wife and I to be in control of the ultimate decision and simply provided us with options rather than taking the “my way or the highway” approach that most orthopedic specialists have had with us in the past. He provides all of his answers to questions that we have with confidence as well as speaks to a level that patients and family members can truly UNDERSTAND what the plan is rather than leave an appointment confused. He is a HUGE asset to the London area and Fowler Kennedy Clinic. If you get a referral to him do not even hesitate to follow through with it - you are in very capable hands. Cheers
