Never returns phone calls. The two occasions I saw him in last year, he promised to send me to see a specialist but it never happened. He also said he would call me back for a follow up...consistently NEVER HAPPENED. Worst doctor I have had in my entire 60+ years.

Dr Enrique Torres actually listens to what you, his patient, has to say. He always treats you as a whole person and not just the next medical issue to be solved. This is a rare and highly desirable quality in a Dr. He never appears rushed while you are with him (although you know how very busy he is). Additionally, he always goes out of his way to explain what he's thinking and why so that you understand your own personal health plan.

Great doctor. He listens carefully and goes out of way to make you better.
Medical system in Canada is broken and it is fantastic to have him helping us
through our problems.

I have had this Dr for the past 3 years and only just had an in person appointment last week, finally. I called ahead and spoke to his student to let them know EXACTLY what I needed to see him for (as I rarely need to see a civilian Dr unless I need a referral or prescription). When I arrived, he not only didn't know what I wanted but was rude, unhelpful and had absolutely zero bedside manner. In fact, he behaved in a manner to suggest her was ableist (when trying to get him to fill out my accessibility pass, he said I didn't "look disabled" because of "the way [I] walked into his office" , and sent me into the waiting room while I was in a full-blown panic attack. As a Veteran with CPTSD, I was very badly triggered by his behaviour and lack of support. As a trained counsellor, I was disgusted by his lack of concern for his patients' mental health and well-being. And, his apparent lack of client-centred care. The only thing he did do for me was to make a referral I didn't ask for, and suggest he could request my medical files from Veterans Affairs and other agencies who held my medical information; because he didn't bother to check whether or not he had enough information regarding my health within my medical records BEFORE seeing me for the first time. I had to drive over an hour each way to see him, and was met with both unprofessional and non-compassionate 'care'. I'm looking for another Dr. He doesn't understand Veteran's needs. Doesn't know what a service number is, or the importance of using it when requesting a Veteran's information. And, he didn't even know what an ATIP request was.

An appointment was made by telephone, since Dr. Torres was unavailable as he often is.
However, no one called, no phone appointment either. The appointment was supposed to have been between 5 and 7 by a nurse practitioner, but no one called.

Searching for a new doctor, no point in him being my doctor if I can't make an in person or even phone appointment. Hopefully I can find someone who cares about people.

I have nothing good to say about this doctor and his clinic. The phones are never answered and when you leave a voicemail , its 6 weeks or more before they reply. If they even do, appointments are not honoured, no follow-up. Its to bad its so hard to get a new doctor or I definetly be changing.

The office rarely returns phone calls. If, by some miracle, you get an appointment, there is ZERO follow up, even for ordered tests. Hard to get prescriptions refilled -- sometime impossible -- even for ones that are crucial to survival/shouldn't be stopped suddenly. Had one prescription for a temporary condition; was told at the ER (where I ended up) to stop taking the drug immediately and what to do to clear up my condition (which worked.) People should avoid this doctor if at all possible.

Dr Torres office is a bit unorganized and yes he’s moved 3 times in the last while but I must say he sent me for tests and spotted some inconsistencies and sent me to Kingston to a hematologist . who determined a serious blood disorder. Always been able to talk to him but I ask and write down my questions . You have to advocate for yourself people! Ask to see specialists and do all you can for your health. I agree there are always complaints and problems , but has anything been better since Covid? Everything is harder now…. Getting answers, banking, working, health concerns. It’s not the best service from this office but it’s better than none for me. Even in emerg I’ve not had proper care for my problems!

trying to think of something positive to say and I am at a loss-this office has been on rapid decline and I seriously think they have hit rock bottom-no calls answered or returned-they simply do not care anymore-save yourself and find an alternate caring and professional Dr elsewhere-doesn't exist here!!!
