My name is Mona. Dr. Goodarzi is my cardiologist. He keeps in touch with me to make sure I am doing OK. He recently recommended a medication that he felt would benefit me and called to tell me he was placing a prescription for me at my local pharmacy. I really appreciate the personal interaction he has had with me during my procedure as well as the road to recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Goodarzi.

He was rude, and all he tried to do during the appointment was try to get me to purchase pills that he admitted he made a profit from. He acted like if I couldn't get them there I wouldn't be able to find them. I left and went to Costco and got them for less than he was selling them. I found them even cheaper on Amazon.

I am absolutely not impressed by Dr Goodarzi or his staff at all. He recruited me in ER at GNGH like some salesperson or real estate agent late at night after I'd had a heart attack. He doesn't listen or seriously answer my questions or concerns. Simply provides off the cuff responses out of a textbook without any engagement with my distinct situation, disagreeing with previous things told me by cardiac specialists at McMaster. Staff are unprofessional and make you wonder what's going on: one will call to reschedule appointments, then another staff member calls a few hours later to schedule something completely different. Dr Goodarzi only does appointments by phone. Often, he doesn't call at the scheduled time and then rushes the conversation so that he spends only 5 minutes talking to you. I am not confident being in his care. I need to find a new cardiologist before I die of another heart attack.

I had a rotation of doctors looking after me during my stay at Niagara falls hospital, but noone as caring and knowledgeable as Dr. Goodarzi. He was very helpful and efficient, knows my case very well from the very first day of his rotation and made my discharge go smoothly with all the necessary referrals and follow-up and meds. It is also great that he has a great sense of humor, compassion and attentiveness.
If all doctors approach their profession like Dr. Goodarzi, every patient will be in very good capable hands!
