Marjorie is married to a man who is violent with women, and who sexually assaults women.

Marjorie knows this about her husband, and not only chooses to stay married to him, but chooses to run a business with him, and chooses to refer women to him.

I went to Marjorie for acupuncture, but I wasn't getting relief from chronic pain. Marjorie recommended I try her husband Martin's treatments, which were a form of energy medicine. When I asked about her Martin's training and certifications, Marjorie wasn't able to provide me with a clear answer. She did however tell me that Martin was also a registered massage therapy. Marjorie went on to say that Martin would give me receipts for energy work treatments that would be falsely listed as massage therapy, so that my health insurance would cover the treatments.

I passed, because that is the definition of insurance fraud. Additionally, I wasn't comfortable with Marjorie talking about Martin's healing powers without telling me what it is he actually does to "heal" people.

Between a lack of process after a few sessions with Marjorie, and a pattern of increasingly inappropriate behaviour from Martin (Marjorie's husband and business partner), I was happy move onto a more skilled and professional acupuncturist.

Dr Copithorn is fantastic. She helped me with anxiety, degenerative discs and general well being. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is most helpful. She really knows what she is doing. I would recommend her to the fullest extent.
