She seems to always display a moody demeanor that leaves me feeling like I am an inconvenience rather than a patient seeking medical care. It was as if my presence alone during appointments was a bother to her, and any questions I had were met with curt and abrupt responses that only added to my discomfort. It felt like she was rushing through the consultation, barely taking the time to understand my concerns. Her distracted demeanor left me questioning whether she was genuinely absorbing the information I provided or simply going through the motions. The appointments I've had with her were not only rushed but also lacked the necessary depth; much of the time her googling or typing in her computer without speaking. She did not conduct thorough examinations, seemingly dismissive of any potential underlying issues. This lack of attention to detail was alarming and left me with lingering doubts about the quality of care I was receiving. Compassion is a fundamental quality one expects from a family doctor, yet she exhibited a glaring absence of this essential trait. Her interactions were devoid of empathy, and I left each appointment feeling like just another item on her to-do list. Moreover, the lack of informative communication was a significant letdown. She failed to provide clear explanations or discuss potential treatment options, leaving me feeling uninformed and uncertain about my health. It's disconcerting to encounter a healthcare professional who consistently appears to be in a bad mood or distracted. A doctor's primary responsibility is to ensure the well-being of their patients, and her demeanor raised serious questions about her commitment to this responsibility.

Dr.Fitzgerald has been my family MD for a few years, always easy to get a quick appointment with her when I need one.

She sat at her computer just typing in silence as I was explaining my situation. Questioned other medical advice given to me by professionals. The other negative reviews on this page speak for me. I didn’t feel she really cared about the service provided.

Always seems to be in a bad mood or in a rush. Not a hands on doctor that examines her patients she just sits at the computer and types while you sit there in silence wondering if you should interrupt her to tell her what’s wrong with ya.. You leave feeling worse and more confused that before you went there. I went there with an injury and she never even examined me . If that was my old doctor you would be up n the table being twisted and turned in every direction. Definitely picked the wrong profession. When she first opened practice she was a great doctor but since COVID and phone appointments became a thing she lost her compassion and makes you feel like your bothering her. Also rather the old secretary...the current one can be very abrupt and rude

Dr. Fitzgerald is unpredictable. Sometimes she is personable and other times she seems to be in a bad mood and I feel like I am bothering her by being there. Visits are always very quick, usually 5 minutes or less. Overall I’m happy to have a family doctor but she is definitely best if you don’t have any serious issues.

Very difficult to contact. Phoning for 3 days, only response from receptionist- message that she was unavailable to answer, no longer accepting messages. Finally on third day kept pressing redial, after over an hour waiting get an answer, put on hold for half hour. First available appointment- more than a month away!!!!
If you want proof of the decline of the health care system, this is a good practice in which to be a patient. Do they get taught that communication with patients is important?

I started seeing Dr. Fitzgerald while I was at MUN, I followed her when she moved to the East End because I didn't want to lose her as a doctor. She is very compassionate and understanding. Even during the last two years, while appointments changed to telephone calls instead of in-person, she listened attentively, I would recommend her to any friend, or family member. Especially those struggling with their mental health.

If you don't have issues maybe a good dr. If you have issues, good luck. No sense of urgency and weak knowledge.
