My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Allen Sonstein since 1977.....and have always, without exception, been given the most courteous and knowledgable care we have ever had. He has never misdiagnosed anything at all for us. He has tests run if necessary, and doesn't hesitate to send us to a specialist if he feels it might be best. We feel more like family than patients. He has made housecalls for us when my husband was ill. And a couple of times when I needed to see him, but couldn't go to his office. He is very prompt and doesn't keep us waiting.

He is the best doctor and he treats us like family not patients. He saw my parents in the hospital twice a day(AM and PM) He would call us if we werent there at the hospital at night to give updates. He does housecalls when they are unable to go to him for a a visit. I cant say enough about him. What doctor goes and sees your parents on weekends after working all week. We love him!!!!!!!!

My father, aunt, and uncle had Dr. Sonstein as their primary physician. He was responsive, professional, caring, and showed a sense of humor, even when my family members were less than cooperative. I believe his care gained my father four additional years of life, given an earlier negative diagnosis by other medical teams. Through chronic conditions, various illnesses, broken hips, kidney problems, and general aging angst, he was extremely helpful. Whenever family members were hospitalized, he would call us at night after rounds to provide updates. Dr. Sonstein was a gem!

Was patient 11 yrs. and missed three appts. 1 scheduled a year in advance, 1 due to plumbing disaster,3rd overslept due to no thyroid pills for 3 wks. When I called to say sorry that day, was told that I would have 2 wks to find other dr., I said I needed my pills and so they scheduled me with nurse 3 days later. Went in and waited one hour in waiting room before taken back and then when I explained to nurse the situation, she got angry and said she was getting Dr. Sonstein. He came in without even hesitation and shoved two weeks worth of pills at me and told me to leave and then added for no good reason at all that he was going to call the police. I never got to say a word. This was a doctor I had adored and always had a good relationship with. I am supporting my household myself, have a husband with cancer, and run my own business on top of being a mother of a young teenager. Horribly humiliating and inhumane. Stay away!
