I've decided to share my experience with Dr. Labella even though it was a while ago. I used to see her when she was in Bethel Park. I was 35 and had developed uterine fibroids. They were as big as a 16-week fetus. I have never wanted children. I did want a hysterectomy. Dr. Labella agreed to it, but she said to me she wanted me to be sure in case I "met Mr. Right and he wanted kids." I kept my mouth shut because I wanted the procedure, but I was very very taken aback by her offensive comment. First, she assumed I didn't know my own mind....at 35. Second, she assumed I'd just change my whole outlook to please some imaginary future partner. (I had a partner at the time, but she didn't even ask. She assumed. And he had a vasectomy already because he felt the same way as I do!) She wanted me to suffer with fibroids and to keep having heavy periods for no real reason. She assumed that wanting children was normal. I've known since I was tiny that I never wanted kids. She didn't seem to think that was possible. I hope she has evolved in her outlook since then. Her sexist opinions were pretty gross.

Never had any problems with her. Talks very kindly from her heart. Tries to solve any problem you have to make you feel comfortable. I will be seeing her as long as I can.

She kept me from having a c-section by acting quickly and knowing exactly what to do. Follow up appointments were supportive and very knowledgeable.

Met with her twice and she was cold, rude, very inconsiderate and just plain mean. I left the hospital in tears. She was extremely hostile and spoke to me like I was a nuisance and like I had done something awful to her. :( I pray I never see her again. The rest of the office staff and doctors are absolutely wonderful. She’s the most horrible doctor I think I ever seen.

Dealt with this doctor through two pregnancies. Neither time has she treated me with any respect. I always seem to be a bother to her. I actually could hear her laughing with a patient next door and by the time she arrived in mine it was like she was bi-polar. Was hospitalized twice for kidney issues while pregnant and both times she had terrible bedside manner and tried to scare me into not listening to the opinion of the urologist by telling me that if I went through with the procedure that I would end up losing my kidney and have to deliver pre-term. Absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever.

I have been seeing Dr. labella for over 10 years. I usually see her for yearly check ups. She listens to my occasional concern and is quick to get testing done. She has always been very thorough in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. The majority of the staff is awesome, very pleasant. The only issue I've had is the receptionist (Brentwood office) who is consistently curt with me. I can deal with her demeanor though to see a good doctor.

Wow. No bedside manner. Wants everything done her way, on her schedule. Wanted to induce at 37 weeks for early dilation (I went to 41+ weeks, went into labor naturally, and had an 8 hour start to finish labor). Told horror stories about crack babies born to unwed teenage moms to try to get me to agree to induction. Actually said "You better make sure you have a turkey baster and that your husband has read up on homebirth" when I declined. Horrible lady.
