After my first appointment with Dr. Emmrys, he realized my family did not have the financial stability to provide the treatment for my mental health problems. He took me in as a pro bono and did not charge me a single cent for a little less than a year and a half. He helped with my diagnosis and I am now prescribed the proper medication that has completely changed my life for the better. His style of work was very effective for me because of his honesty and way of communicating. He tells it like how it is, provides proper knowledge about the brain in a way that is educational and does not make feel like you’re a hopeless case. I have gotten a lot better and had my last appointment with him a little over a month ago, which was honestly kind of bittersweet. Thank you again Dr. Emmrys! You are an amazing doctor and a great person.

We adopted an older severely troubled child who had endured years of abuse.
Dr Emmrys saved my child's life. Continued care while the child was in hospital. He is very respected in the health care community .

This guy might be good with kids but with adults I found him to be stuck in a time warp with ideas and values from the 60's and 70's...like what a wife's obligation to her husband is, it sounded like she should be 'barefoot and pregnant'! He constantly talked about where he's been, all the things he's done and how good he is....ego, inappropriate comments and still.....made things worse. Just saying.

ALWAYS late. His ego is huge and he is very condescending. During my session he actually left the room because he had “some things to think about.” Hands down the worst psychologist I have ever dealt with.

Ive been quite pleased with Dr. Chuck. He does know a lot, he enables kids to make them feel more powerful and in control of their lives. My son really needed to know that he wasnt along in his feelings and a lot of kids go through these situations as they grow up.

I was quite pleased with him.

Dr Emmrys explained to my wife and I how our son's brain was programmed to think differently when responding to stress. For us our son's actions just seemed to be behavioural problems. After his diagnoses which he showed us in one of his medical books it permitted us to better understand our son when he acted inappropriately and how to best respond. He said our son would out grow the condition and now some years later we no longer see the symptoms he presented as a teen. Highly recommend Dr. Emmrys.
