Dr. Plaxton has been our family doctor for over 12 years since my first pregnancy and has delivered both my children, successfully and quickly diagnosed health issues, monitored mental/stress health and always explains herself clearly and thoroughly. She has always accommodated us for illnesses the same day which is not common amongst all medical offices.

Our whole family checked out and have found amazing, thorough and kind care elsewhere. My son’s health was severely compromised by the poor diagnosis and follow up of this doctor. Thank God we have found one that takes his health seriously, and got him the care he desperately needed.

I have been a patient of Dr Plaxton's for years and although her staff are typically rude and dismissive, she is knowledge and a good a listening to issues and then recommending a good course of action. You will however wait to see her as she is consistently overbooked.

Love Dr. Plaxton. She is kind and compassionate. She admits if she does not know something and has appropriately referred me to Specialists. She detected a serious health issue when symptoms were not textbook. Very thorough. Happy to have her as my family doctor.

I grew up with Dr. Plaxton as my family doctor. When I moved away, I continued to commute by train to see her. I was very upset because after making a long trek to see her, not only did I wait hours as per usual, but when I finally got in to see her she rushed through my appointment. When I continued to ask questions, she looked at me and said "I have a lot of patients." At the moment, I was so upset that I just left (and never went back). I wish I told her the time it took me to see her, only to be completely disregarded. You would be better off going to walk-in clinics than having Dr. Plaxton as your family doctor. My whole family went to her, and now we have all found different doctors because we all agreed that she was rude and disrespectful.

I have been a patient of Dr Plaxton for 7 years now. I was happy with my care in the beginning, but the quality of healthcare that I have received in the last few years has declined. She doesn't seem as helpful, I almost feel like I am bothering her by being there. A few years ago I started having odd symptoms all at once and generally just didn't feel well. I started to tell her the symptoms that I have been experiencing and she answered " just one problem at a time". I tried to explain that I believed they were all connected but she didnt seem to care. So we went with the more serious of the symptoms and I was sent to a specialist. Many months later after waiting for that appointment and having test ran, everything came back normal. However, I am still sick and still have all the symptoms. So, after being sick for 3 years, I finally went to a naturopath whom connected all of my symptoms and told me what she thought I had at my first appointment, which was later confirmed with test. I am in the process of looking for a new doctor for myself and already changed my children to a different Doctor.

Always late. Staff are pretty much useless. Would change doctors in a heart beat if I could find one.

without further inquiry. I hadn't even been diagnosed at this point and she was prescribing me the same medication at the same dosage that she had prescribed my mom after the birth of my sister. She doesn't care about her patients. I never feel comfortable going in there to talk to her, she doesnt make me feel okay or safe. When I break down and cry, instead of consoling me or ANYTHING, she turns to her computer and starts fiddling around or flips through my file to only say "where were we at last time with this" she's my doctor, she should know. It wasnt until I moved to London ON and started having stomach issues that I was diagnosed with those 2 mental health conditions from a psych in Victoria Hospitals ER. Along with those conditions, I had been having a lot of stomach problems and whenever I would tell Plaxton about it she would write it off as my "drug use" (I was an angtsy teen with money in Oakville) or tell me not to worry/she doesn't think it's anything. There was a week in 2011 before my diagnosis of CROHNS when I was in Victoria Hospital for 5 days! Only then did she schedule me for an upper GI and referred me to Dr.Pham (who is very sweet but isn't proactive about your health). I then went on to be told it was just a Mallory Weiss tear? The lining in my esophagus would tear open and bleed into my stomach causing all the pain and discomfort. I was 17 when the stomach pain started and it wasn't until I was 21 that she would even consider an actual health problem as opposed to me lying through my teeth. There was one point throughout all of that when I was in the ER at OTMH and Plaxton, without even ordering an ultrasound or anything, tells me it's my appendix and I need it removed asap. Without even checking. My dad was there to get in her face about that and they figured out it wasn't my appendix. Then she thought it was an eating disorder. When she finally took me seriously, I was sitting at 98lbs being 5'4, VERY unhealthy. I didnt know what was going on. I went for a colonoscopy and guess what? I was right and Plaxton ever since then has become an even worse and uninvolved doctor in my health history. I plan on finding a new dr after this cyst business is dealt with. Oh yea, that as well. She misdiagnosed a cyst on my left ovary as a kidney infection. She is the worst dr in Oakville, by far. I miss my old one from Port Credit MISS.
