Ratings for Dr. Adewale Akinlosotu
My son waited for 9 months to see him. He then brought him into a room and spoke with him alone (which was fine). About 3 minutes later he opened the door and brought me into the room and asked me "what were you expecting today?". I said that my son had aged out of pediatrics and he needs someone to take over his care. He told me my son was "too complicated" and that he could not/would not help. He then ushered us out and did not make a referral to anyone else. Horrible experience.

Nevermind the ward I was on all together as a whole— because it was a nightmare— This doctor was a power-tripping, self-righteous, condescending man who didn’t even talk to me before forming me, then gaslit me to claim we did speak even though he said he was just assigned to me the day before. This man made a joke when I was discharged that “where do I think I’m going?” and “I have the final say.” He thought I should “lighten up” when I didn’t find that particularly amusing in my current circumstance. He also suggested taking me off medication I have been stable on for 4 years simply due to stigma against people with history of addiction. In my opinion, this doctor shouldn’t be practicing medicine— and definitely not psychiatry.

Best psychiatrist I've ever had! He listens! He helps! He will work with you until you feel like yourself again! He helped me fix my whole life!

He said I was a physical threat to others and extended my stay with a Form 30 while I was in the psychiatric ward an extra 14 days. In all the conversations I had with this doctor, I never once said I would harm someone else or myself!!!! Ridiculous!!!!

The worst psychiatric ever!!! He thinks that his decisions are absolutely right! He thinks that he is a God heaving power to enforce his decisions. No Doctor, You are same as the other people, we all sometimes make mistakes. Your problem Doctor is you never accept somebody else's, (other Doctor's opinion) not at least in my case.

By far he is the most helpful, professional I have EVER MET!! Always has great advise for my mini traumas. He is always polite, patient, calm, and a pleasant atmosphere where other drs just sit there and expect you to perform. HE IS NOT CONDACENDING---and NEVER JUDGING ME, NEVER FAT SHAMING ME,.

The best psychiatrist I have ever had. I am so grateful my family doctor referred me to Dr. Akinlosotu. That was my lucky day almost 12 years ago. I have been seeing him ever since then, less frequent now. I don't know what my life would be like today if not for him. He has always made time for me. His front office staff is exceptional as well.
