She was my OB for my first pregnancy and I will be requesting her for my second! I was very afraid of giving birth and every visit she reassured me ...always putting me at ease and making me feel more confident! After being a week overdue, she asked if I wanted to be induced in 4 days and I eagerly said Yes...well, I ended up going into labour the next day...unfortunately she was not the OB on call at the hospital so she wasn't able to deliver the baby but she actually came to check up on me and bubs the next day in the hospital! She asked how my birthing experience went and was very personable. Will recommend Splinter to anyone who is looking for an OB.

Dr. splinter was my OB for both my children. Unfortunately not the OB on call when I went into labour with my first or when I was spontaneously induced for medical reasons. HOWEVER, through out the entire duration of being in her care she was AMAZING. She is caring, compassionate, understanding, reassuring, and personable. She is a extremely friendly and has a great sense of humour. She always answered all my questions and concerns with a solid response and ensured I understood. I will forever recommend her to all my fellow ladies to use her as their OB.

Secretary is rude, not helpful and simply doesn't care about your issue. She cuts you off while you are trying to explain the reason for your call and is very confrontational when you ask a question or need clarification about something.
Splinter... I have a hard time putting "Dr." in front of her name. She is the most unprofessional "doctor" with whom I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. She avoids answering questions by not calling on the day and/or time that is scheduled. She calls on a Friday - her office is closed on Fridays so if you try to call back nobody answers. She performed a procedure but failed to tell me that she perforated my uterus and called upon another doctor to help her with the procedure. She used every excuse in the book to not give me a hysterectomy and when pressed upon the subject her answer was "well I haven't done one in over a year". For two years I was bleeding because of a fibroid and she refused to address it. I begged her for an ablation - she finally agreed to do one but it was unsuccessful. The procedure took place in September. My post op discussion about the procedure didn't take place until February!!!! This is because it took 2 months to schedule a phone appointment as she was refusing to see patient in person. She didn't call on the scheduled day in November and when I called to inquire her secretary as per usual was rude, sarcastic and just plain nasty. Finally I got a call in February (5 months after the procedure)and she was not transparent about the details of my procedure - the doctor who I saw after Splinter was the one who told me about the perforated uterus and the addition of another gyno in the operating room. My conversation in February was basically her way of trying to get rid of me because she used every excuse in the book why a hysterectomy wasn't a good idea - "you should go to Toronto", " you won't get a bed in Sudbury", " there will be lots of blood involved with this surgery", " I haven't performed a hysterectomy in over a year". How do any of those comments exude confidence? She had no intention of helping me with my issues and she wasted my time for two years. I"m beyond disgusted and would never recommend a woman go see her for anything!! As for her secretary - you must be one miserable person to be so rude to people who are suffering. Compassion and plain kindness is what patients need - not added stress knowing what a "bitch" you will be to them. I'm sure Karen is aware of this but the fact that Splinter keeps her just goes to show how little she cares as well!

She treated me at the ER after a miscarriage. She was so caring and sent me for follow ups. I was not treated like that with previous miscarriages. Was just sent home. Super amazing doctor.

Dr Splinter is absolutely wonderful. I had the pleasure of having her as my OB during my fourth pregnancy and have nothing but positive things to say about her and the care I received. She is knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely cares about the well-being of her patients. I would recommend her without hesitation!

Dr.splinter is phenomenal, she did my ceserian and explained everything. Kept asking if I was okay while the procedure was being done and followed up at the hospital. She was supportive, understanding, and non-judgemental. She is a fantastic doctor one of the top doctors I have ever received care from. Cannot define in words how fantastic she was.
