Traumatising experience- this Dr is anti-choice. I was referred to Dr Ward as 1st trim bloods had shown small risk of abnormalities. Before results of more detailed tests were given, he asked me what I would do if there was a complication- I said I wanted to wait to see if I had to weigh those options. He jumped right in to say he didn't perform abortions and that he could put me in touch with some good Christian families that would adopt. No lie. Highly inappropriate and unprofessional at what a stressful time for me- and at the time I didn't say anything, I felt confused and accosted. I needed medical information not personal opinions. This Dr should tell patients straight up his position on a woman's right to choose an abortion, to be afforded full agency over her body, without shame, at the time of making an appointment like this. Unacceptable.

Dr Ward is simply the most incredible obstetrician. Kind and caring, professional and compassionate. He explains everything in such a calm manner and always takes your wishes into consideration. I would have every baby of mine with Dr Ward, if my family hadn’t moved interstate.

Very caring. Even though I was a public patient he came in to deliver my baby at midnight on Australia Day because he was worried about us. He is always calm and confident. He knows his stuff well.
