Biography
Dr. Festa is a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist and is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). His expertise includes non-operative and operative treatment of sports injuries in pediatric, adolescent and adult patients, from the recreational to the professional level. Dr. Festa is actively involved in research. He has published numerous textbook chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals on the topic of orthopaedic sports medicine. His work includes topics ranging from ACL injuries, shoulder instability and biceps tendon disorders. Other current research interests include rotator cuff injuries, throwing related injuries and cartilage disorders of the knee. His work has been presented at state, regional and national meetings. Dr. Festa currently serves as the head team physician for Seton Hall University. He also serves as an orthopaedic consultant for Montclair State University, The New Jersey Jackals Baseball Team and multiple local high schools.
