I have had migraines for over 40 years. During that time I've sought help and advice from three GP's, and several neurologists. In addition I've tried several "alternative" therapies. Dr. Matheson is the FIRST dr who didn't take out a prescription pad and/or give me drug samples as the possible solution. Some of these drugs caused frightening side effects, some made the migraines worse, and none helped at all. Dr. Matheson did not try to sell me his brand of supplements. He recommended a regimen of specific supplements that are available through many reputuable sources across Canada. He recommended a specific anti inflammatory diet and explained why. He gave me a recommended reading list of verified scientific studies and I augmented this with my own research. I followed his advice to a T. I purchased my supplements at my place of choice and the frequency of the migraines decreased by over 50% in 12 months. I suggest that anyone who is truly interested in gaining help for migraines and becoming healthier overall, go to see this dr and listen with an open mind. Know that doctors do not learn about nutrition or natural health treatments in medical school. Dr. Matheson has clearly done his own extensive research and I will be forever grateful to him.

He hires young women to host his Botox parties.
The one one I went to was his sugar baby’s.
They ply with with bubbly (first rule of Botox is no booze for 2 days) and then tell you what you need done.
Uses ‘apprentices’ to do some shots, and walks away with far more money (even shared around with his ‘hostess’ and ‘nurses’ than expected.
Botox/Disport is amazing, just not from these people.

This doctor allows females to host ‘Botox parties’ which goes against the first rule of Botox.. no alcohol.
Then after the ‘gals’ are well juiced up, him and his trigger happy ‘filler’ assistant go around telling you what you have wrong... cash only.
Very dangerous scenario, with no liability insurance.
If you’re into retaining your youth, please use a reputable organisation, with better ratings than there own staff they use for the 5*.

All you people that complain about hin obviously do not know his history, first off you will never find a more caring doctor to the point he believed a lot of people who were supposodely in pain by way of Oxy, at that point he did not know the issues with them but rather there was no better drug for pain, I know! Because of that he recieved uhfare judgements against him and was alomost shut down. Secondly, this man gives seminars all over North America and every Doc I run intoi knows of him and lots attend his seminars on pain management, a genious this man is and a heck of a human being so you selfish people, get over it go elsewhere!

Dr Matheson charged me $423.54 to perform botox injection for migraine pain relief, Because I had not yet been approved for this treatment through my health provider, it was agreed that I would submit a claim post treatment. He waived his normal $200 fee to administer the drug, ( a procedure that took less than 5 minutes )

After he injected the botox, I paid in good faith by visa but the visa bill reflected the name of " Headache, Migraine & Concussion Centre". I was given a visa receipt but a actual receiot My health care provider approved the claim however wanted a receipt for the service provided,
.

When I paid the bill the receptionist handed me a visa machine . I assumed it was for Dr Matheson but was actually registered to Headache Migrain and Concussion Centre.

When I asked for a proper receipt from them, they refused, They stated that the Botox was from Dr Matheson's personal stock and that they do not issue personal receipts,

More of a salesperson than a doctor! Instead of getting to the root of your problems he insists that you need to buy his brand of supplement. I went for one consultation and did not return because I don’t think he actually cares to help patients, he just wants to make more money off of his new vitamins. Would not recommend

What a quack. Without asking questions about the nature of my headaches or any other symptoms, he ranted about the horrors of vaccines (HPV and the effect on birth rates), my weight, and then proceeded to try to sell me his brand of vitamins and supplements - as well as Botox treatments.

Im curious about one of the earlier comments about the staff explaining what the injections were for... Are staff allowed to answer questions about treatments? Or do the doctors have to answer that?

These "Tens" machines are not the $20 Tens machines that you can buy in stores. Perhaps if you had asked more questions or listened when he explained how they are used and could help you, you would understand what they are and how they might help you. Not knowing you're diagnosis I can't comment, but it helped me lower the narcotic medication I had needed for 8 years in half. Also Botox treatments are extremely helpful for many things. It can reduce the frequency of chronic migraines and block certain chemical signals from nerves helping many conditions, neck and back issues can be helped as it helps with muscle contractions which can be the main cause or secondary reaction of injury causing pain.
